Perfectly. Our central gas heater wasn't heating the air. Our gas water heaters were working a week after the local earthquake so gas supply wasn't the problem. The fan blew. I tried resetting the electronic ignitor per the label but no luck. I found JW heating and Air by looking on Angies List, and bought their diagnostic deal. I called and got a timely appointment. Mark B. came by and quickly determined the limit switch needed replacing. He had it in his truck. He inspected the heater and found the blower was filthy. I was not surprised, as we had no service calls in 9 years since it was installed. Mark did a quick rough cleaning, said it really needed a more thorough cleaning. I had no idea how bad it had been until he fired up the heater, and not only was the air warm again, there was alot more air coming out. The cost of the diagnostic special was applied to the repair bill. We bought their one year maintenance deal for the Heater and AC. Denise was persistent in calling me to set up a heater service day. Mark B returned, cleaning the filter, burners, blower, sensor, checked heat exchanger, wiring and connections, and volts and amps to the unitm He noticed the condensor drip pipe was a jury-rigged, duct taped mess. He took it apart to rebuild it properly and saw the pipe was pluged inside.He tried abd fortunately for me succeeded in using compressed air to blow it out, and out came rusty water at the outsude exit of the pipe. call these guys cause they have so many positive reviews. And they lived up to there ratings they were on time and were very good in explaining what needed to be done. The price wasn't quite as much as i thought it was so obviously i was happy. I have nothing negative to say about these guys they did a great job and i will call them again when i need them.

As I prepared for decisions about a new heating and air conditioning system for my house, I relied greatly on the ratings in Angie?s List. Others of my acquaintance had already done the winnowing down when they did their homes, so there were only a few to consider. I chose JW Heating and air. This decision proved to be very beneficial The interview with Ted of JW went well as he fielded questions about mini-split systems, heat pumps, efficiency and noise abatement. Quiet and quality were my main concerns. Ted showed pictures of other installations and pointed out the suspension methods used for the equipment, the orderly placement of the duct work and the installed walkways for easier maintenance. Because of the age of the house and the light insulation in the attic, I chose several extras, including a high efficiency air filtering system, an automatic air fan in the attic, dual speed equipment and a wi-fi enabled thermostat. My home is small and JW Heating and Air chose to put several men on the job promising completion within three days. They also were confident enough to include a city inspection at the end. The only downside came right at the beginning - they start work promptly at 7 a.m. each day. They set canvas down, they covered furniture with plastic sheeting, they consistently wore booties and they removed it all at the end of the day. I worried about plaster dust as they made the grille holes but they minimized that by a smart box enclosure setup using a cutter above and a debris collector below. I was struck by the comradery of the group - each doing their job efficiently and effectively and communicating well. Because it would go faster, they subcontracted the electrical work. They did complete the whole thing in less than three days. A company truck came and took away the surplus materials and all the detritus. Final inspection showed the attention to detail that characterizes quality work. The access door was screwed, not nailed; there was a light switch installed at the hatch controlling illumination for future work on the system, plywood flooring was down for future maintenance; red flags showed where the dampers were for flow adjustment and the intake duct was large for quiet operation. A number of people have worked on my house and one survives, but this group was my best experience without doubt. Highly recommended.

Wow .. these guys are expensive and charged 3 times what it should have cost. Beware!

Ted and the team over at J&W are excellent. Ted was forthcoming and personable from the beginning, and very accommodating of our busy schedules. They saved us from last years heat wave by putting in a great system and doing it quickly (on schedule). A few minor issues came up along the way, and they adjusted accordingly at no cost to us. They've even come and done a few small adjustments based on our feedback after using the system for a couple weeks. A few very minor things didn't pass inspection the first time, and they were fixed immediately, also at no extra cost. The workers arrived on time (even early) every day, and when they left our home was left in very good condition. We highly recommend J&W!

I usually don't write reviews unless a company was completely inept, or absolutely fabulous. This case was the latter. in a nutshell, you need not look any further if you want a professional, competent, reasonably priced and courteous AC or Heating company. And on top of it, a company who is NOT going to b******* you, or sell you anything you don't need. Pretty rare actually. I have owned my 1926 Spanish for 13 years, and have had MANY people work on the house. With an older home, this usually cases issues. I can say hands down that JW was the most competent company that I have dealt with in 13 years. Not one issue arose, and they did everything 100%. (Shocking!) To begin, George, who came to give an estimate was beyond knowledgeable, patient (I asked MANY questions), and a delight to deal with--even on the many calls I made during the week prior to the work being done. I had interviewed 4 other companies, and not 1 of them had spotted the problems with the previous installation (The was no opening with grate installed between the room separations which caused airflow problems for the return (if the bedroom door was closed). George offered to install this for free--which did take their guys some time (and their prices were better or comparable to others). Additionally, they offered (if I wanted) the ability to change the filter location (for my particular needs) and did an expert job with it--which any other company could have bungled. No other company suggested this. The guys that did the work, Jason and Ramon, were fantastic. (George came with them to go over the job in the AM and make sure I was Ok with everything we had talked about) . The guys never rushed any part of the job and worked diligently as though it was their own home. Seriously, I have seen MANY workers here, and I can't say that about 95 percent of them. They were very careful, and even when cutting through the wall for extra airflow, Jason spent as much time as he needed to make sure the wall didn't crack at all and no extra patching was needed. This is a feat in a 1926 Spanish home! He even went so far to paint the little silver screws white, to match the grill, and spray the area inside the Return black (since I moved the filter location, the inside silver color was too eye catching). Ramon was also expert in his figuring out the best drainage possible, and made sure he explained in excess what he was doing and why, and just exactly how the AC unit worked--Down to details I didn't even need to know about--Which is a first. Like I said, they took their time and took great pride in their work. Every bit of bracing the new additions to the unit was expertly done. Another shocking thing. When they were completely done (cutting though drywall and all) I did not have to clean up one spec after them. The wood floors where as clean, if not cleaner, than when they started and they put plastic so expertly over the areas they worked on that no other areas of the place got any dust or dirt on them. Seriously, amazing. On top of all this, both of them were really pleasant to have around. I knew in my gut that I had chosen the most knowlegable and competant company after spending time with George and talking in detail about the job, but honestly, after the work was done, they exceeded my expectations--and that's not easy to do. Of course, we tested the unit and it worked perfectly. Ramon also explained the new panel controls/thermostat with patience as well. If I add AC to the upper level, I will use the same company. No need to ever go elsewhere for any heating or AC needs. Finally, a company who does what they say will do, and knows how to do it expertly. Very refreshing. Hope this review helps you make your decision of who to use easier.

Ted came out to give me an estimate. He was so nice, knowledgeable and professional! The day they were going to install the new unit they were right on time. They made sure before leaving that they showed me how to use the new thermstat and cleaned up evertyhing before they left. I would highly recommend JW Heating and Air.

JW Heating and Air are Fantastic!!! We first met Ted who went through our house, reviewed our current heating unit (VERY OLD), sat with us and answered all of our questions and gave us a very fair bid. This was a Big purchase for us, so we had alot of questions Ted spent approximately 3 hours with us and was incredibly patient with us, as well! We were sold at that point! We then, scheduled the removal of our old unit and the installation of our new ones. The guys showed up early for work every day, were very professional, polite, friendly and really knew their stuff! They made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of each day. If they had any questions, they'd ask. It really was a pleasure working with Ramon, Jason and Ismail for the 3 days that they were here. Ted, then, came back to see if everything was installed, as promised, he made sure we knew how to work everything and really made us feel like valued customers! Thank you Ted, Ramon, Jason, Ismail and all of JW Heating and Air!!!

Service was very good but the needless paperwork got annoying.

I never received the estimate via email and I called the office more than once and was told they would contact the guy that came out to make sure he sent the estimates. It will be a week tomorrow and still I have not heard from anyone. I will not use their services. Their word is no good and they left me hanging.

Thermostat - fixed. Cleaned filters. Made recommendations.

I had a refund issued due to a neighbor being able to fix the issue.

Came over for annual inspection. Took care of everything. Easy.

They came out and found that there was an improper splice in the low voltage wiring running from thermostat to the furnace and fixed it.

Extremely well. They were very accommodating to my schedule when scheduling visits for the estimate and for both trips to do the work, including doing most of the work on President's Day when I would be home anyway. They were also very flexible about scheduling the second part of the work (another half hour to follow up once a tile setter had come to rip out the floor in the room that they ran the new line to). They were clean, professional, punctual, friendly.

When Ted came out to give us an estimate on replacement of our furnace (no AC), we were immediately impressed by his manner and his thoroughness. We had received one other estimate which was sent via e-mail after a short, cursory inspection by a technician. I searched Angie's List for an alternative and was impressed by the superior reviews and awards received by JW Heating and Air. Ted's initial visit was very comprehensive, including photos of the furnace and ducts currently in our attic, and it was apparent that we needed to replace both the furnace and all ducts, including attic and in a crawl space under the house. The original inspector had not discussed with us the importance of replacing the ducts, as well as the fact that there were considerable animal droppings as well as urine in and around the attic ducts which needed to be removed and sanitized before any new work was to be done. When Ted returned to present us with a well-documented estimate, including all the options available to give us the best possible outcome, there was no question that we were confident in scheduling the work as soon as possible. The job took three complete days, and Sean and his crew arrived promptly each of the days and worked quickly, neatly and very efficiently until completion. Ted has also contacted us to schedule another visit for him to go over the entire system to be certain that we are completely satisfied in every way. He has stated that we did not buy a furnace, we bought a relationship. We are confident that we will continue to have very good communication and excellent service in the future. We feel that the cost was acceptable and that the Angie's List discount coupon was an added bonus. Ted also advised us of a $100 rebate offered by the furnace company which was filed by his office staff, and we have been notified that it has been approved and will be received by us in 4-6 weeks.

The sales rep was extremely thorough. He spent time investigating, asking questions, and coming up with a plan. When he was in the house he wore shoe covers, when in the attic, he removed them. The workers who installed the units were efficient, friendly, knowledgable, and worked hard to complete the job in 2 days. They all took great pain to keep the house clean which was quite successful. They asked which bathroom they could use, which pleased my wife, greatly. Accolades also should go the Jeff Williams, the owner, who put up with my multiple questions, concerns, uncertainties, and changes in start date. And, the cost was very competitive. Highly recommended. I will use them for annual checks.

Our heater dropped dead during the last freak cold snap, and everyone I dealt with at JW was very helpful and responsive. Great customer service, beginning with my initial phone call with Denise (I hope I'm remembering her name right). When she learned I have small children at home, she made sure someone was able to stop by sometime that day. Ruddy came by as promised in the early evening, and was very professional and efficient. He came back the next evening with the needed part (new motor) and quickly set everything right, braving the dark and the freezing rain to do so. He also educated me on the regular maintenance I should do to keep everything working smoothly. The heater is working better than ever - quieter and more effective.

Workers were on time. They worked hard and left the work area clean. The installation was complicated, taking almost 12 hours. The work was very professional. Sales rep (Ted) was very knowledgeable and polite. JW competed with two other companies and their quote was competitive.

The service went very well. They showed up on time, they did a thorough job, they left me a report, and cleaned everything. It was positive. He found something that needed fixing, and he fixed it as part of the inspection, and that was nice.
