Needed A/C service. Looked up companies on Angie's list and found this one with a good rating and a special coupon offer for a diagnostic service. The coupon offer included the option to request service on line for specified dates and time periods, which I did. I expected a response within a couple of hours or at least by the following morning, but did not receive one. I went to the company website and posted a message to the contact email. I also noted an online scheduling and chat service. I engaged in a chat and explained the situation, including the purchase of the coupon. At the end of the chat, the chat operator told me I would have to call for service. I replied that if I wanted to call, I would have. About 30 minutes later I received a response from the email contact, also stating that I would have to call to schedule the service. What is the point of offering online scheduling via both Angie's list and the company website if you still have to call? While waiting for a response I called another A/C service and received an immediate service appointment.

They were cool. Ted the representative came out and gave me a reasonable proposal. I have had six other companies come out and out of all of them, Ted was the most knowledgeable. So I decided to use JW. What I liked the most about Ted is his knowledge.

Crazy AC service calls need to be available in a day or two.

Right from the start, these guys were great. George, who came to do the estimate, clearly knew his stuff, laying out the pros and cons of each option, and pointing out exactly what kinds of issues could cause trouble with the inspectors. The estimate arrived quickly, was detailed and easy to understand. The price was also better than the other company who had bid the project. George quickly and succinctly answered all of our follow-up questions. Once we pulled the trigger, they were able to start in just a few days (astounding considering we we just entering a record heat wave in LA). George even let us know what we'd need to do to prepare (nothing) and exactly what time they'd appear. Sure enough, a crew of 4 showed up at the appointed hour. George walked through everything with us and the crew so we had all the details right, like the exact placement of the units on the walls and where the drain lines would run. For the next 2 days, we were in the able hands of Joe, Ishmael, Ramon and Collin. These guys worked like crazy, despite the temperature rising to 104 outside! Fortunately, JW is a humane company, insisting their workers take breaks, eat well and hydrate. They even provided their own paper towels for our washroom? The guys were super nice and really considerate. They covered everything in tarps and cleaned up after themselves every day, literally leaving the house cleaner than when they started. But most amazing - and greatly appreciated - they stayed late on Friday so they could finish ahead of schedule and give us AC for the upcoming (scorching) weekend. Perhaps the greatest tribute, though, came from the city inspector who said "Whoever did this did an outstanding job." 'Nuff said...

They were nice, friendly and very efficient. Since my AC was leaking in my house, it was a bit of an emergency and they came within an hour and had it fixed an hour later. I will definitely call them again!

Bought on AngiesList for the Diagnostic service. Was answered promptly by company. Service equally as prompt. Tech was on time. Diagnosis appeared accurate. Repaired effected and restored our AC system without further issue or finding dreaded "recommendation or else" matters. Although we all object to spending on repairs it is fair to provide service and be profitable. For honesty, promptness and effective service, an "A" and a feeling that all was fair. Should I need additional service or a replacement, JW would be well considered.

Service Techs were prompt, courtesy and very professional. They made sure to cover and protect our property while doing the installation and thorough cleaned up when done. Once installation was complete they took the time to explain multiple times to my 83 year old mother and myself how to use the new programmable thermostat. I would definitely use them again and recommend to friends

It went fine and the only problem that I had was that it was not clearly stated that I was being charged differently for labor. I thought the labor was going to be charged on an hourly basis instead of a set amount pertaining to whatever repair was needed. The technician was very professional and prompt and did a good job in repairing my a/c issue. I take part responsibility for the lack of communication.

I am SO GLAD I joined Angie's List if, for no other reason, than to find J.W. From the initial consultation all the way through the inspection, was nothing short of wonderful. The guys were excellent! (Unfortunately, I cant remember their names). They were on time every day, very professional, did a spectacular job and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND JW to anyone needing a new system or work on their heating and/or air conditioning. I needed to have this installed for my 93 year old mother who is suffering from health problems and advanced dementia. I was concerned that all the activity in the house would be a strain on her. It was not! And the guys were so patient. She cant help it but she does ask the same questions repeatedly and they nicely answered them each and every time she asked. They included her in the whole process and I think that helped her immensely. The company's owner, Mr. Williams, even came out on day two of installation, checked on the progress and patiently spoke with my mother as well. Finally, Ted was excellent! He explained everything to me during the consultation and was more than willing to work with my schedule because I needed to take off work during installation for my mom's sake. During the three day process, he periodically called to see how things were going and the job was completed on time as scheduled. (Almost unheard of in my past experiences with other contractors, etc.) Finally, he walked me through the system, explaining how to operate it, maintenance, etc. and even had a bottle of wine for our family when I opened the door. I would like to thank JW from the bottom of my heart. I'm an only child caring for my ailing mom, a wife, mother and full time special education teacher. I had put off doing this for the last three years because I am "contractor phobic" and knew it would be chaotic for my mom to have all this work done. It was completely NOT that way at all with JW. I highly, highly recommend these guys without any reservation

Finally, after multiple Yelp recommended companies have looked at the system, here was a tech who really knew what he was doing. He gave good advice, and wecame up with a reasonable interim solution to a longer term replacement plan for my system which is aging. Of course they would like you to buy a new system, but that didn't stop him from properly diagnosing and fixing a nagging problem that had been causing my AC to operate improperly for two years. The cost of the service was what I would expect to pay for a quality company but was not significantly more than other providers, from what I could tell. The small price difference is so worth it considering that the system is used every day. Highly recommended.

Airconditioner only blew warm air, they recommended an upgrade an overhaul (too expensive!), but instead were able to repair the motor for a more affordable price.

Great! On time, honest and hardworking.

Good. They checked everything out and removed the insulation from touching the furnace, allowing us to have the pilot lit. I'm not sure if the full diagnostic was done because we have to turn our furnace on multiple times before the pilot actually clicks on, which is concerning because if the pilot doesn't light, it just ends up leaking gas, which we all know is bad. That was not brought to our attention for the diagnostic and since we had just purchased the house, we did not actually use the furnace to find that out until after the diagnostic appointment.

The experience was fine. They were on time. They seemed knowledgeable. I purchased one year contract for maintenance. They come twice a year.

They just came to do a regular inspection, and worked on the furnace/AC it went good no issues and the price wasn't too bad.
