Great job. Found a clogged line that had it failed, the house would have flooded. Units had not been serviced in years.

This project went well. My contact, Ruddy, was amazing, honest and candid. The installers were pros in every way. The job even finished early. Months later I found uneven temperature distribution in one of the bedrooms and they came out and adjusted things at no extra charge. Ruddy from JW was a breath of fresh air and put up with all my micro-questioning everything. I would use them again and recommend them highly.

This was ok. They just got the job done. The air conditioner needed Freon. They said I had an issue and there were some extra costs.

I really hate to write a bad review, but I can't help but question the integrity of this company. Perhaps it was only the technician who was sent over. That being said ... I called JW based on all of the wonderful reviews on Angie's list. My AC unit had been freezing up and the summer's heat was killing me. The technician (Ruddy) came over and told me that the system needed refrigerant, however, he believed that there was a "restriction" issue. His Recommendation: "Restriction Repair Vacuum and Recharge and Add Filter Dryer. Best to upgrade unit and add zoning." He told me that if the system were to freeze up again, I'd definitely need a new unit. He quoted me a price of approximately $11,000 - $12,000. He also told me to call him directly. Within one day, the same problem occurred again. I called Ruddy on his cell. Again, he said that my unit needed to be replaced. For some reason, his diagnosis just didn't feel right to me. I also felt uncomfortable that all communication was between me and the tech (although the check was made payable to JW). I decided to get a second opinion. I called another technician referred to me by a friend. This person came and immediately went up to the attic to inspect "the coils." He told me "insulation had fallen on top of the coils" and he believed that was the issue. He also said that my system needed more refrigerant. He added more refrigerant, removed the downed insulation, took the temperature of the air coming from the vents and charged me $160. When I asked him if he thought I needed a new system, he said "No." Ironically, Ruddy called me the following day. He asked if I'd made a decision about replacing the system. When I told him that I had gotten a second opinion and explained was done, he told me that the "other guy was wrong." He said that adding more refrigerant was going to destroy the unit and that there was "no way" my problems were the result of insulation falling on the coils. (Ruddy NEVER went up into the attic.) I said, "Well, if the system stops working, then you can put in a new one, but for now everything is working." That was almost three weeks ago. The AC has been running nearly non-stop since then (I live in the Valley). I've had absolutely no issues whatsoever.

We purchased one of the $89 diagnostic deals on Angie's List to get our recently purchased 1920's house's underperforming A/C looked at. Mark was punctual and professional, he tested our system inside and out. The diagnosis for our system wasn't good and we're looking at a lot of work, but Mark gave us several options of various price points to work with. We're awaiting a followup estimates on his recommendations, and if we decide to go with it, we'd definitely use JW Heating and Air for the work.

Checked existing system and complaint about noise. explained noise. Although the performance of the system is suboptimal, he informed me that the age of the system and our future plans for an addition suggest a newer, quieter machine in the next year or so is probably the best solution. He was very professional and knowledgable and really checked the whole system - including the drainage under the house.

Arrived on time, diagnosed issue and was able to fix AC.

Finally someone who knows what they're doing. I've had 4 different companies look at my A/C to no avail. 2 places claimed it couldn't be fixed. One said it was impossible to fix because the panel couldn't be opened and another said the fan was broken. None of these were accurate as I found out from Ruddy at JW. Ruddy is the first person who knew what was wrong with my A/C, how to fix it and provided alternatives were it to break again. Plus, he got the panel that "couldn't be open" open in 10 seconds. He was so kind, efficient and clean. I'm thankful to have found them and will be using them in the future for any A/C or heating issues. Thank you!
