The mechanic that came to clean the air conditioner was a nice enough guy, I just didn't have confidence in his work. He didn't seem to know what he was doing. He temporarily fixed the airconditioner, but every time I turned it on there was a LOUD BANG. The first time I heard it i thought it was a gun shot. I would up having another company come in and fix the problem. The new company said that there was too much frion in the unit.

It went well. We ended up taking them on as a contractor to do repairs on our heating ducts. They seemed very professional. It was interesting because they made a note about some of the things that the previous contractor had done wrong and how they would do it differently. I thought that was nice. They worked well and I didn’t feel pressured or anything in doing the service. They were professional and did a good job.

Needed service on our A/C. Quick and easy.

It went very well. We needed a 3 unit system in the bedrooms to augment the whole house AC system which we could not zone because of how the venting was installed way back in 1969. The mini-split system was the perfect solution. The installation took an entire day. After a few weeks of using the system, we noticed a weird noise in one of the units. We called and told them, and after their technician came and checked it out, they found the unit was flawed and replaced it immediately. The tech they sent was amazingly fast and knowledgeable. The new unit now runs as we'll as the others. A great company.

The installation went great and I am a very satisfied customer! JW's quote was not the cheapest nor the most expensive I obtained. I selected JW based on their overall professionalism and product knowledge. To begin with, I have an older home and there had never been a modern forced-air system installed. I elected to do the install during my whole-house remodel but did so somewhat on-the-fly, which required some improvisation to accomplish. JW was able to assess the situation, then performed load calculations and gave me several options to chose from - all of which provided flexibility for future expansion if I chose to add-onto my home in the future. None of the other bids provided the load calculations, so to start with I found that very professional and felt much better about the sizing of the system. A/C units are not all the same and JW discussed the options without presenting a bias. I chose a full Lennox system and was able to use the awesome Lennox "iComfort" thermostat system which provides whole-house control and access via the internet, with programmable seasonal and daily features. JW also helped fine-tune the system by adjusting the CFM delivered to each room, and the sequential operation of the variable speed system. The installation and the system all work together very nicely and have performed excellent! I had one issue develop during the install which had to do with providing equipment access by code. This required some minor modifications to the roof supports and attic access that were easily performed and worked great. I am very happy I did that as it improved the entire installation. This was a portion of the installation that JW did not perform, but their input was essential in determining the optimal approach. Overall I am very satisfied and feel I received a good value for the service - and will continue using JW in the future to assist with any issues that may arise with my system.

JW Heating & Air is a stellar company. Working with Ted was and his team was a real pleasure. Ted came by during the busy summer season and promptly gave me a quote. He worked to be competitive against another provider and I'm so glad I went with them. Ted was both thorough and had strong attention to detail. When his team came to do the install they were courteous and professional. The install took only 3 days and I ended up with a fantastic new system. New ducts were run through out, air in-take relocated, and a economical and powerful compressor was installed. I would recommend JW Heating & Air to anyone.

I paid for a $49 AC maintenance that was one of the Angie's List deals. I figured we had not had the system checked for 18 months and I wanted this done before I needed to use the AC during the hottest part of summer. They came out as scheduled toward the end of June. The service man arrived on time as scheduled. Since our forced air furnace is in the attic (the AC unit is in the back yard) I let him inspect everything by himself. I got worried when he said the furnace was very old, 1970's vintage. The housing complex our house is in, was built in 1986 and I had the furnace replace in 1996. I knew it wasn't that old and told him so. He then said the AC unit was also old, 1980s vintage. That was also wrong as the original unit was replaced in 1996. He called someone to verify the unit age, which matched the 1996 install date. He did clean the air filter. He made the comment the coil drain in the attic wasn't to code as it didn't have a secondary drain pan. My comment was it might not be to code now, but was this the code when it was installed? He couldn't answer this. I'm sorry to say I wasn't confident in anything he told me by this time. Fast forward to mid September. I had not needed to use the AC till now. I turned on the system and smelled something burning coming out of the vents. I checked and realized there was hardly any air flow coming out of the vents. I turned off the system. I called another company out and the fan motor was shorting due to a short in the controller circuit board. The company that I called said he had never seen a circuit board fail that way before. The whole point of getting the maintenance done was to prevent the system from failing when I needed to use it. The coincidence of it breaking the first time I used it after the maintenance inspection, the misinformation I was given on how old the systems were and the attitude I was given when he told me I had building code problems has left me dissatisfied with this company's service. I cannot recommend them.

We recommend JW Heating and Air 100%. We have a two story home and we hadn?t had our air conditioning unit serviced in 5 years. We were very worried about being slapped with a massive bill. Mark arrived on time and never did a high pitch sales job. He explained the problem and for under $300 we had our air conditioning up and running! He had to do some minor tweaks and updates, but still the bill was under $300. I can only imagine other places would have charged well over $300. We really like working with professionals like Mark that you can trust and rely upon. Two thumbs up in our book!

I found JW through Angie's list after seeing so many great reviews. Others have said it, but I can honestly agree with them that this was the best experience I have ever had with any contractor. Ted is very personable and courteous, and after the bid came in higher than I was willing to spend, he worked with me to make changes so that it stayed within budget but still met my needs. The crew took only three days to do all of the work, including cutting through wood and tile floors throughout the house for the vents. Everything was covered in plastic to minimize any dirt or dust. Ted and his team kept me informed throughout, and I am very impressed with how everything looks. I should have had the work done much earlier.

My technician mark was on time. He was honest and always fixed my heat and AC with one service call. I had other companies look at my Ac unit and they attempted to tell me it could not be fixed.
