Wallace was the only plumber who responded and he did a great job. I would recommend him and his team.

The technician found a number of defects that were specifically stated NOT to be present by 2 other licensed air conditioning professionals. The recommendation, not surprisingly, was for the installation of a new air-conditioning system. The specific defects that were discussed were: "Accumulator tank leaking"?The material he stated that was oil, was stated to be dirt by the other two technicians. Likewise it was stated that the "fan motor leaking oil." Again what was shown to me as oil leaking was labeled dirt by the other two technicians. I therefore cannot recommend them based on my experience with them as the information they provided was totally disputed by what two other licensed professionals who came after them to evaluate the problem had stated.

They weren't able to come out and it was an emergency, but they were pleasant. They were willing to schedule something at their earliest convenience.

*****I highly recommend JW Heating and Air!!***** Ted cam to the house to discuss options and explained everything to me in detail. I had no working knowledge of an HVAC system (other than the thermostat) and felt very comfortable by the end our meeting and discussing the quote that I was getting exactly what i needed. I'd had a competitor in to do to a bid and the quotes matched, but JW was going to move the furnace to a more efficient location which "the other guys" didn't even mention. The team was in front of my house early and waiting for Ted. They were getting a tour and starting their day before my husband and I left for ours. When I got home that afternoon it was so clean I wouldn't have known they had even been there except for the lack of AC unit and furnace. Not. One. Speck. Of. Dust. Anywhere! They finished the job early because it was my birthday and we had the ac back on within 48 hours of them starting the project! It was so much more quiet and my son's room was finally cooling off. The inspector for the HERS rating came out a few days later and inspected the system for efficiency. The allowable percentage of leakage for a system that is replace is 6% and 4% for a brand new build where they get in there before the walls go up. Our system, which only needed a 6%, was at 3%. He was very impressed and said that he "loves working with these [JW] guys". Ted came back after the testing to make sure all the rooms were the correct temperature. My number one concern had been that my son's room was always hot in the summer and cold in the winter. He had to dampen the vent to his room because it was now getting TOO cold. I anxiously awaited the first power bill. We had had a hot summer. The power bill was down over $200! And that savings has remained constant. Consider upgrading the air filter. My son and husband used to wake up sneezing every morning. Not anymore. I am so glad that I reached out to JW and can't believe how excited I am about heating and air!

We met with Ted C. for the initial consultation and estimate. He is very knowledgeable and personable. We never felt that he was having a hard sell, and he answered all of our questions. Ted had developed a reasonable plan for the location of the heating unit, and avoided unreasonable expenses in comparison to other estimates that we had obtained. The job took two days. We dealt with Joe, Ramon, and Steve. The entire team was courteous and truly took care of our home. The little things stand out, all wore foot coverings without being asked, they cleaned up after themselves and did a great job. I would definitely recommend this company. Oh, and it also helped that they liked our three year old and didn't mind the dog.

JW Heating and Air delivered the highest quality product and service at an extremely competitive price. I can't recommend this company highly enough. This was the installation of a completely new Heating and Air Conditioning system into my house including brand new ceiling vents in every room and ducting through the attic and (for one room) under the house and up through the floor. The house had previously had a single wall heater and another floor heater for the entire property, but neither of this was in working order and required removal. This was an extremely challenging job given that the house was built in the 1920's and the height of the available space in the Attic ranges from a maximum of 24 inches to just 14 inches in certain parts. It was also done in high summer so the temperatures that they had to work in were tough. I had consultations and quotes from 6 different companies and JW Heating and Air stood out from the very beginning. The sales representative Ted, was knowledgeable, personable and did a thorough inspection of the property's characteristics and dimensions. He then designed the optimum heating and air system to meet my functional and aesthetic needs. Ted also picked up on some other aspects of the job that were important but that the other companies missed, like the fact that the old floor and wall heater had asbestos piping which need removal. In terms of price, JW's quote was not the lowest (coming in somewhere in the middle of the 6), but after some bargaining they were able to get the price to be reasonably competitive compared to the lowest and within what I was prepared to pay given I was sure by this point that they would do the best job (see the other reviews they have received). Their price included removal of the defunct floor and wall heater, removal of the asbestos (through a sub-contractor), patching of the holes that this left and delivery of the heating & air unit by crane (again through a sub-contractor). JW Heating and Air are not tied to one particular manufacturer and so Ted was able to offer different brand options for the unit itself. With Ted's advice and some internet research of my own I went with a Ruud 14 Seer package (combined) heating and air unit. The date for installation was scheduled promptly and the installation team of Shawn, Ramone and Ignacio arrived promptly each and everyday of work thereafter. These guys area a very close, very hard-working group who really work together as a team (when you watch what they have to do - with one guy stuck in a tiny attic space cutting a hole in the ceiling, with another in the room below catching the cut out bit, both communicating with CB radios - you realise why this is important). Ted (sales contact) was also present on site that first morning to introduce everyone and brief the job. The guys made great progress right from the start and finished the job on schedule in 3 days. Throughout the kept my house clean and free of dust and debris, comprehensively cleaning up each evening. The thing that really stand out from the job that they did was the quality of finish. Watching holes being cut out of your lovingly preserved 90 year old "barrel" ceilings can be quite dispiriting, but the precision with which Shawn and his team cut and shaped the holes then placed in the vents was perfect. The result is an inconspicuous heating system that does not visually attract attention but which works perfectly in getting each room to the right temperature. And that's what you want. Final step in the process was the balancing of the air flow into each room. This is not an easy process and not something that can really be achieved in one shot as you need to live with the system for a while and through different types of weather (to use both air-con and heating functions). JW Heating and air have come back at my request on 3 occasions over the last 4 months now to fine tune the balance as I have noticed things that I wanted to change (I am quite demanding and want things just so, but then when you are spending this amount of money you should be). Each time they have sent Shawn and Ramone as they know the system and know my house and come round promptly - which I think is great service. My heating and air system works brilliantly and I am very happy with it. I would use JW Heating and Air again and recommend them to anyone.

I am happy to add another strong recommendation to the many that JW Heating and Air already has on Angie's List. Although their services are pricey, they are worth it. Like me, they value the best in the products they use and in the quality of their service personnel. We found them on Angie's List and are glad we did. Our house is old, and we wanted to install central air conditioning. When we called for an appointment to make an estimate, even though our area had just suffered from the prolonged heat wave of this summer and all air conditioning suppliers were swamped with calls, Ted was able to visit within a couple of days. He pointed out that we needed a new electrical service panel, since our old one carried too little power for a modern household, and he recommended an electrician who was excellent. Ted dealt with us not as a salesman but as an expert in the air conditioning field. We needed a new furnace because the old one didn't have the necessary blowing capacity, new ductwork, and of course the extra equipment for the air conditioning itself. It took two days to do all the work, and the three-man team, headed by Shawn, was entirely professional and competent. In addition, all three were friendly and polite. The work was completed on time and was done right the first time. My wife and I are quite pleased with the results, and we would be glad to use them again.

Tech was thorough in explaining needs of a/c. Had to return a week later due to his schedule conflict to complete job.do not like racket company has to urge customers to join a "club" for discounts. But for emergencies getting the system up in a short notice...they rock. Very pricey but courteous.

The estimate was thorough, thoughtful, and customized to our weird house, but unfortunately too expensive for us to consider doing. Jeff and his partner were very professional and took ample time to really give a good estimate of the scope of work. If I were going to move forward on doing a complete a/c job on the house, I would consider doing the job with them.

That way, he'll give you some great ideas about installation options that other contractors just won't. Ted will give you the background information so that you can make the best informed decision, whether you end up hiring JW Heating and Air or someone else. Details: Ted came to my house to give me an estimate. His was one of six estimates that I received. But Ted brought ideas that nobody else did: 1) Only Ted asked how long I planned on staying in my house. Because I plan on staying here a long time, he suggested a high-quality unit that is quiet. Had I told him I wanted to sell the house, he would have suggested a cheaper unit. 2) I insisted on a crawlspace-installed HVAC unit. Only Ted suggested that the air return be in a closet on the wall rather than in the floor where the old floor heater had been. What a great idea! That way, the air return won't pick up all of the fur that my dog is shedding. 3) Because I decided on a variable speed HVAC unit, he suggested that I go with a 3-ton unit rather than a 2-ton unit. He explained that when I want to cool my house down, the 3-ton unit will be faster. But when I merely want to maintain the temperature, it can work on low power as if it were a 2-ton unit. Other contractors were split between suggesting a 2-ton unit and a 3-ton unit. Installation went smoothly and quickly and the system came with a 3-year warranty. It works wonderfully: it's powerful when I want the house cooler, and it's very quiet when merely maintaining the temperature. I'm very happy I selected JW Heating and Air. In particular, I was impressed with Ted's ideas for my HVAC system.
