The company came out on time and was friendly. The furnace is very old and was not burning right but they did a good job trying to fix it.

The service went very well. At first the technician though he would have to order the part, since it was not the most common replacement, however he happened to have it in the truck, so we lucked out and got our heater fixed on the same day that we called. The whole thing took an hour, but the part was rather expensive, nothing we can do about that. I Googled the part (or a similar part) came back w/ a very similar price, so I think their pricing is fair - this stuff is just expensive!

I asked the employee who did the inspection for a quote to fix some issues. He said he would get back to me. The next day a lady called from the company and she asked me how my appointment went. I said fine (and follow-up phone calls are always good btw) - and that I had asked for a quote for some work we needed done. She promised to get back to me too. No one ever did. I was ready to use JW for the repair job but am now going with another provider. Maybe they don't need more work, as they command $90 for half-hour inspections.

They came and did what they were supposed to do and I was satisfied with their service.

Told us that the unit was only fixable for $1800 and that it would only last one year -so suggested we replace the entire unit for $3900. We responded by saying we would get a second opinion. The repairman (Miguel) responded by saying let me see if I can fix it. Turned down his offer - Called SFV HVAC and was told we didn't need a new unit and it could be repaired for $900. Fixed our unit and it is working perfectly.

I can't say enough great things about these guys. There are plenty of companies that provide excellent HVAC service, so the difference is going to be service, do they communicate well, are they punctual, do they say what they are going to do and do it well. May sound simple, but I can tell you from years of dealing with cruddy contractors, it's not. I loved that I got an email with a picture of the guy who was coming to my house. That they answered their phones quickly and got answers for me. They were just on top of it...and for me that would've been worth spending more (which I'm not even sure I did with them, I think they are priced pretty fairly). The biggest testament to how impressed I was is that I signed up for their annual check-up. For them it's great because they've got a repeat customer and for me it's great because service on my units should happen twice a year and now I don't have to remember to make an appointment to do it. I highly reccomend them.

Jeff came on time to give me a bid. This was not a big job but more complicated than a simple repair. He ended up staying at my home for over an hour, giving me his ideas on how I could improve my heating system. I was wondering why he was spending so much time at my home just to bid one additional outlet but I soon found out. He pulled out a contract and asked me to sign it right then and there. I told him that I never award a job without getting several bids first. He intimated that by not signing the contract, I had been wasting his time. He told me that half the time he went to people's homes, they never called him back and that they were flakes. As someone who works freelance (in another business entirely), I understand that when I go on an interview, that does not mean that I automatically get the job. Going on interviews that don't lead to anything is part of doing business as a freelancer or a contractor. Moreover, a person who gets multiple bids before choosing a contractor is the opposite of a flake. While I do not question Jeff's competence and imagine that he would have done a fine job, his attitude was arrogant and insulting. An honest contractor does not need to resort to such a hard sell. Therefore I joined the ranks of those who never called him back.

The actual replacement of my furnace went perfectly. Their tecnicians were punctual, clean and professional. I was really happy. The service fell down on the communication regarding getting the work permitted. It's been months and is finally being scheduled. I understand a backlog by city inspectors, but the lack of follow up and communication really detracted from the whole experience. I would use them again, but make sure that the follow up details are worked out up front

It turned out well. The deal was more than that because I had a hepa filter. The deal was to change a standard filter but I have a certain kind of filter that's an upgrade. They are professional.
