He was so smart and worked quickly!

I was very pleased with this company. Excellent communication through email from confirming appointment to sending photo of service technician who arrived promptly. Carlos checked all cooling components and system. He cleaned out door coil and told me the condenser fan motor was rusted along with the electrical box disconnect. It will need to be fixed in a few years. I will certainly use this company in the future. I also liked that Carlos put on shoe slippers so the floor wouldn't be soiled. Very considerate.

They did a good job on the installation. I'm still waiting for the rebate and it's seven months later so I'm not 100% happy with those guys. They were not the cheapest but I thought they were the best. I think I would use them again.

Dustin came out and provided a very thorough bid. Unfortunately, we decided to postpone this work until we undertake a large remodel next year, but will definitely consider JW Heating and Air when the time comes.

Friendly, knowledgeable service technician was prompt and quickly found some basic problems with the AC unit (valve cover off, coolant low). Put in the coolant on a subsequent visit. I think this was included in the Angie's List special. Good stuff!

The office staff and the technician they sent were both very helpful and courteous. Although the tech told me what I didn't want to hear (my A/C has had it and needs to be replaced), I'm glad he told me the truth. I think this is an honest, ethical company, and so I would use it again in preference to others.

Ted and his team are just the best. Our situation was particularly tricky. We had arrived a couple of months before in our house and found out a couple of days after our arrival was dead. As foreigners and newly arrived, we had to find the provider that inspired the most trust. It was not easy. Several people came to our house with different quotes. Our situation was even more complex due to where the house was located: in a canyon. For the units to go on the roof, the canyon needed to be closed, the city needed to be involved etc etc. And again, we were foreigners and not familiar with all this. Ted came in the first time to look at our system and was very clear and straight in his explanations. He was also able to take the time to listen to our worries and advice us in a good way. We signed the paper and he kept us posted on how the situation was evolving (particularly with city permits etc etc), every single step of the way. On D-day everyone was a little tense! It was about lifting up two units on our roof! Because Ted had anticipated everything, it just went extremely smooth. It was reassuring and great to see that everything went great and according to plan. JW Heating worked hard all day to get everything up and running for us and they came back to do the necessary testing and adjustements. I would advice anybody to go to Ted and his team. He is nice, caring and extremely profesional service provider.

They did a great job. they were prompt for the first visit, showed me what needed to be done, than the order was placed for the motor, and they were back in a few days to replace the motor. Again they were prompt and clean and efficient.

I live in a house with its original 30 plus year old air conditioning unit that we had to repair every couple of years. I knew I had to replace the unit any day. I waited until my A/C stopped working in middle of the summer of 2014. I asked friends and neighbors for recommendations. I also checked the usual places such as Angie's List, Yelp, .....for reviews. I narrowed in on four HVAC companies. I called all of them and got estimates from all including JW Heating and Air. I read and listened to the experts and learned quite a bit about heating and cooling during the two month search. After considering the different manufacturers I decided to get the Lennox 5 ton XC16-060, SL280V furnace, Merv 16 filter and iComfort Wi-Fi Thermostat. I am more than happy with my selection. I picked JW Heating and Air to do the installation. That too was a very good decision. Ted came over to my home to give me the estimate. What a lovely man. I just knew he can be trusted to deliver a good product to me after that meeting. It took Ted a couple of weeks to give me the estimate and I was very patient with him during that time. I had a chance to talk to the owner Jeff Williams and I found him to be a very hands on owner. The estimate was somewhere in the middle of the other estimates but I was able to negotiate a better system and warranty from JW. The installers arrived at 7 a.m. They quietly unloaded their truck and started working on removing the old system. Shawn showed he is very experienced in his work and was a very good leader for his team. He set a very good example for others to follow. There were two other excellent installers Ramon C. and Ignacio S.. They all worked very well together and did not leave until 9 p.m. They took one lunch break and I bought them pizza for dinner. They worked very hard and did their job to perfection. I was very impressed with their workmanship. They were very polite and at the end of their job cleaned after themselves. Ted showed up in middle of their work and again after a few days he came back and checked the system to make sure I am happy with the installation, that I know how to work the iComfort thermostat. At our final meeting, I gave Ted the final payment. I will not hesitate to recommend JW to my friends and family.

Technician Mark came by our house right on time and identified and fixed the problem in about 20 minutes. He was very friendly and professional. I've since signed up for an HVAC yearly maintenance plan with the company and everyone I've dealt with there has been great.

I was expecting a thorough check up and it didn't happen.

I selected JW because they had good reviews on Angie's list, and seemed to know what they what they were doing when they came out. They installed the system, and shortly thereafter a nasty smell like old moldy socks starting coming out of the vents. I called them, and the came out and cleaned the system. The smell soon came back. I called again, they repeated the process, and fixed some other holes in the system that I discovered while search for a cause of the order. By this time I had lost any faith I had in these guys (although Jeff was always very nice and helpful). It seemed to me that the cause of the problem was that the way the unit was hung caused water to collect in the bottom, instead of the drain, but when I presented that idea they told me that wasn't the problem. They offered to install a UV disinfecting system (at my cost for parts, free labor) that they said would fix the problem. I passed on the offer. Finally a few years later I had a couple of guys come out to top off the coolant, and mentioned the smell problem. They immediately put a level on the unit, and rehung it so that it drained properly. The problem went away (mostly - as the mold that causes the smell is now throughout the system, any moisture sets it off again!). 10 years later I was having remodeling done, and when the gas company came out to relight the pilot, they noticed that when the heater/cooling fan was blowing, my water heater vent was no longer venting. I called JW Heat and Air, and they came out, looked into how the two were joined together with the vent chimney, and saw that it was really badly put together (not JW fault - they had just connected their new system to the old heater vent). They scheduled an time, and came out and fixed the connection with a 'T' vent connector, and extended the chimney on the roof for better draft. They didn't charge me, and were very nice (as they always are) about it.

JW Heating and Air did a great job. The gentlemen who came to give me the bid explained everything about the new system and patiently answered all my questions. JW had the best price out of everyone I spoke with AND excellent reviews so I picked them. They did the complete demo and install in one long day which was a plus. It didn't hurt that I have a HUGE addict which allowed 4+ guys to work at the same time up there. The whole crew was courteous and respectful of my home. After seeing how my old ducts were run willy nilly, I was very impressed with how clean and straight the new ducts were installed. After install the guys talked me through the whole system and did a great job cleaning up. I was amazed at how quite the system was when it turned on for the first time. I am looking forward to lower power bills in the summer! I would certainly use JW again.
