Description of Work: Had a circuit that was going in and out. Charles staff found loose connections and corrected them on the spot at a very reasonable price. They responded promptly, got it done quickly, and left it clean.

Description of Work: Angie has several electricians on her list who could have given us an estimate for the ceiling exhaust fan we needed for our bathroom. We called Charles Young Electric. What a lucky choice!! Charles has a family business located in Elk Grove not far from where we live. He came the next day to give us an estimate and several days later, he and his brother Mark, who is working in the business after 3 tours of duty in Iraq, came to do the job. We were given options about what we could have and how the job could be done. The price was reasonable and we are so happy with the result. The fan looks like a ceiling light, which came with it, but has a separate switch. Charles and Mark came at 9:30 and were done by noon. They worked quietly and left the bathroom spotless with a brand new ceiling exhaust fan and light. We couldn't be more pleased. Their attitude, ethics, and workmanship are all exceptional. No question about who we will call when we need an electrician next time.

Description of Work: Installation of recessed ceiling lighting and repair of wall outlet. Charles Young and his associate, Marc, installed 4 recessed ceiling lights into my den, and repaired a wall outlet that has been non-operational since I purchased the house in 1989. They tied into a box in the attic to rewire the electrical outlet. For the recessed lights they also replaced the wall switch with a new dimmer switch.

Description of Work: My kitchen lights kept flickering and Charles determined that it was the dimmer switch. He replaced it and no more flickering! He also replaced switches in two bedrooms that had noisy ceiling fans. No more noise!

Description of Work: I hired Charles Young Electricians change the light fixture in my entrance hall. The new fixture I had purchased to install did not fit properly (a round peg in a square hole) so they had to replace my old light fixture until I found a more suitable fixture. I returned the fixture to the store, bought a different fixture, and rescheduled them to come back and install it. They were prompt and did not charge me for the first visit which I thought was generous with their time as the misfit fixture was my error. They went quietly about the work in an efficient and practiced manner.

Description of Work: I hired Charles Young for electrical work two times in the month of July. Initially he troubleshot and quickly corrected a faulty 15 amp circuit. Then I hired him to install a 20 amp upgrade circuit with gfi in my garage and two 15 amp outdoor outlets with gfi in a new patio area.

Description of Work: The CY team replaced a GFCI outlet for my outdoor fountain and explained how the circuits were connected to each other. For instance, my main circuit for the exterior outlets is the GFCI/Reset circuit in my kitchen. CY explained that any time it seems that outlets are not working check the reset button on this cirucit and if it is protruding out, just simply push it back in. The team also straighten out the pump tubing for the fountain and checked and reseated the pump. Now my fountain is flowing better than ever. Also, a couple of weeks later the outlets in my garage and exterior outlet on the front poroch stopped working. I was trimming a hedge and suddenly the hedge trimmer stopped working. I thought the trimmer had gone bad and I took it back to the dealer; it checked out okay, but still did not work in the poroch or garage outlets. So, I called Charles Young to make an appointment to check outlets, but he simply walked me through checking the ciruits and I found out that the culprit was the circuit in the master bathroom; it had tripped! I pushed in the reset button, and the outlets in the garage and on the poroch were activated. You can't beat service like this!!! It took just a phone call and I was able to finish trimming the hedge and found out more about circuitry and reset buttons, etc.

Description of Work: Charles Young Electric was hired to take down two chandeliers and installed two new ones: one in the entry way and the other one in the dining room.

Description of Work: Charles Young replaced all older electrical outlets and switches in my home: interior and exterior, and replaced everything with newer and more energy efficient switches. Performed safety checks of all electrical components, and advised the best recommended lighting and wiring for kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects for the designs that I wanted. Charles also installed my wall mounted large flat panal television, redesigning and securing all wiring to be out of sight. Other service dates, Charles Young replaced celing fans and various types of lighting in kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. In addition, he has installed electrical garage door opener, and replaced the old wiring components. I also happened to have an issue with a broken bathtub faucet and pipes at the time of his visit for the electrical issues, but Charles was able to fix and replace the faucet immediately before damages occurred to the inner wall from the leaking.
