Quote was able to be generated from a phone call, (with me supplying a few pics and measurements) appointment was originally scheduled for 3 weeks later but was moved up four days as their schedule opened up. Work was done in about an hour-hour and a half, price was exactly what was quoted and they cleaned up some minor issues in my fuse box. Couldnt be happier with these guys! Excellent work!

We just completed a major remodel of our kitchen and main areas of our home and hired Charles Young for everything electrical. This consisted of completely ripping out the existing electrical service in the kitchen after demo and then re-wiring after framing, remove and install new recessed lighting through out the house including a vaulted ceiling without attic access, install a new fan on a ceiling beam where there is no attic access, consolidate switches and a number of other misc items. All in all, it was quite a lot of work. George who ran the electrical project was great to work with. As we were running our own project, there was coordination that had to happen between trades and George worked great with the other contractors and really made my job that much easier. Becuase this was my first major project like this (I'm just a homeowner) there were a lot of things I didn't anticipate and as a result, logistics of getting people on the job at the right time was a challenge, but Charles Young always worked with me. In the end, we have an awesome home and all the electrical is great, especially all the new lighting. The other really cool thing that George did for us, was install a new ceiling fan into a beam that we thought could never be done because there is no ceiling access. He has a really creative fix for this and it is beautiful. For any electrical needs, we will be calling Charles Young in the future. Thanks Charles, George and Henry.

It started with my phone call. I Mr. Young was so nice and helpful. He suggested that if I was satisfied with the first contractor I talked to that I should go with him so that I wasn't paying for two estimates. I liked his manner so much I cancelled the other bidder. I had been afraid that the wiring in other ceiling fixtures was also brittle but he assured me that it was only a matter of the previous homeowner putting to large a light that made the wire that way. The electrician arrived early but he called first. He changed two switches for me and installed the fan. I also asked the cost to install a ceiling light in the living room and will use the contractor again.

Rhonda in the office responded promptly to my call a week ago when I said that I'd ordered a replacement ceiling fan, then we touched base after it was delivered to confirm the service call she had scheduled. George and Henry of Charles Young Electric came to my house early in the two hour time window that I'd been quoted and they also called 15 minutes beforehand to confirm their arrival time. The installation of the ceiling fan w/ wall switch and remote went perfectly. While they were here, I mentioned that I'd had a light switch which was no longer working and that I might need to call them out again. Rather than do that, George (who was in charge) immediately went into diagnostic mode and figured out that a wire had probably broken over time. He was able to re-route the power to make the switch work properly, so he saved me an extra service call. After they were done w/ their work, they took the extra step of using a hand vacuum to clean up a few stray bits of drywall. I was totally happy w/ every aspect of their service and will call them again for any electrical work I need.

I am in the process of purchasing an electric car and I needed a NEMA 14-50 outlet installed in my garage to charge my future car. I have used Charles Young Electric in the past, and I did not hesitate for one second in calling them to do the work. The crew arrived on time, and they went ahead and ran the cable from the other side of my home, through my attic and install an outlet in my garage. The work was done neat, and I am very happy for the service they provided.
