Very pleased with the quality of the work and the lay out of the lights. Wish I had done this a LONG time ago...

created a bit of a mess on the floors and I have no vacuum cleaner. Out of both kindness and a sense that, as Charles put it, "No job is done until the cleanup is done!" they retrieved a vacuum from Marcus's house and soon had the various rooms in apple pie order. I am delighted with the professionalism, courtesy, and fine outcomes from Charles Johnson Electric, and I am happy to recommend them without reservation. They went the extra mile, their standards are high, and they were cheerful and gracious about every aspect of the job.

We are very satisfied with the craftsmanlike treatment of the ceiling around the fans and installation of fans with remotes.

Fixed existing outlets repaired and installed new plug under sink for garbage disposal and removed faulty wiring. Added an outlet and conduit for electric garage opener, and additional outlets in the garage. Fixed wiring in attic to two bathroom exhaust fans (that were incorrectly wired by pervious owner) they reconnected the air duct to roof vent outlet in the attic. Lowered garage door switch and put installed a new outlet in the garage (flush with the wall).

I bought the big deal $99.00 for 2 hours of services. Charles young and his associate came out and together they banged the job out in one hour. They replaced 10 outlets and fixed the light on my garage door opener. They came when they said they would be there and got right to work. They were polite and professional. I will definately use their services again when I am in need of more work.

Purchased 2 man hours of electrical work through Angie's List for $99. Emailed Charles Young with what I needed and asked about a fixture I had some questions on - then set an appointment for two weeks later (they are pretty busy - though I understand that if you request it, they can call in the event of a cancellation). Marcus and David arrived within the appointed 1hr window and were very professional and courteous, not only answering all our questions but making suggestions as well - they also explained that we were responsible for paying for any materials used. Uninstalled/installed the entry fixture and the two bathroom outlets qiuicky and easily - placing the plugs as close to our requested location as was possible. They inspected and explained the issues our hall ceiling lights had and repaired the wiring - we then decreased the bulb wattage at their suggestion. Discussed the best way to wire another fixture we had for use on the vaulted ceiling - and will have them come back when we are ready to install. They cleaned up and since we provided our own outlets, fixtures and bulbs - the additional cost for materials was only $4.

Mark and David were professional, knowledgable, and worked well as a team. They also had a great eye for placement. The owner called later to make sure I was satisfied, which I was. Good job.

CYE helped me hunt down an electrical problem in my home (and fixed it). The service experience, responsiveness, and professionalism were excellent. I will gladly come back to CYE for any electrical needs in the future.

I knew that I would be purchasing a new ceiling fan for my master bedroom so I purchased the ceiling fan installation special that Charles Young Electric was offering. Some time later, I found the fan I wanted and called to arrange the installation. Charles returned my call within 24 hours and we scheduled a time that was agreeable to both of us. The contractor who had installed the previous fan had done it without using a fan box. Charles explained the potential problems that could result if he did not correct the problem. He did not pressure me, but left the decision up to me. I chose to have him install the box. He agreed to install the fan box for an additional $75. Based on the research I done prior to purchasing the special, I was comfortable that this was a reasonable fee Charles and his assistant did an outstanding job. The newly painted ceiling did not have a mark on it. The fan was mounted firmly and did not vibrate or wobble. They took the precaution of laying down a drop cloth to minimize the mess and did a very thorough cleanup job. I have several projects planned that will require an electrician and will definitely use the company again.

I purchased outdoor lighting and when Charles and his helper arrived they checked the fixtures. Charles explained that the ones I purchased were too large to be installed where I wanted them. He told me what to buy and while I went to exchange the fixtures he and his helper ran some errands. After an hour we were ready to proceed and everything went smoothly. Charles made everything easy.I will gladly call Charles Young Electrical next time I need some electrical work. They do excellent work. Thanks

This guy had the $99 for 2 hours electric service so I payed Angie's list online in advance for this service. I then called Charles Young Electric and left a message. I did not get a reply. Next day I sent an email and left another phone message. Later that evening he called and said he can't return calls during the day because his customers don't pay him to take calls. Then he said he said he was could not help me until mid August. I then called Angie's List to have my credit card reimbursed. I will never pay in advance on Angie's List again.

I bought an Angie's List special for two hours of electrical work. Charles Young called me a few weeks later to ask what I wanted done and to arrange a time. We set up a time and he showed up with his brother at the appointed time. They did the work and had a few minutes left. He asked if I had any other needs since he still had time, but I didn't. I was impressed with this company and would hire them again.

I got him off Angie's list. He seemed knowledgeable. I had a heavy chandelier to hang and he made sure that it was in a right receptacle for weight. He was on time. He was clean and neat. The price was good.

We purchased Charles Young Electronic's big deal with $99 for two hours of electrical services by 4/11/12 .They came on time installing electrical outlet for our two awnings plus one exterior outlet .They did good job and was very professional.Will use them again .

Originally, I just wanted a few light switches repaired and ceiling fan lights connected and repaired. Called Mr. Young and he was very responsive in returning my call and setting up an appointment. When he arrived, he listened to my concerns and was very informative and knowledgeable. He advised me of the most productive yet inexpensive way in which to accomplish my goals. He also let me know about the new energy saving LED lights that at that time had a rebate available. The only minor issue I had was that even though we had verbally discussed the price for his followup job, he should have given me a written estimate. The only reason I consider it a "minor" issue is the fact that he held true to his verbal estimate. He was very timely and conscientious. (cleaned up after himself) :) . He and his brother were very professional and did not dawdle in getting the job done quickly and efficiently. I do plan on having them return to install some LED can lights upstairs.

They came out, serviced it, and got everything working properly. No issues whatsoever with the service provided.

I called and they came the next day. After further inspection of my electrical box outside, they found that the builder had made some mistakes with it originally so they did quite a bit to the box to make it safe. They also check a few things further for me which I didn't ask for but the that was great. Great work guys!!

Totally disappointed, Charles arrived at 0745am the day scheduled to do the work, 15 mins early. Walked the job site and started work but never provided an estimated cost for the job, i believed the 2 hrs would be enough and was taken by surprise that he wanted 3 hrs in addition to the Angie's list coupon, of labor to perform this simple job...way overpriced. When asked why the bill is so high he stated he arrived at 0730 worked till 1000am, for 2 guys and wanted to be paid for setup and cleanup. The only setup and cleanup was to take his tool belt out of his truck and return it, both guys worked very slow not justifying the $75per hour charge per person. The job was to simple, add one additional outlet next to an existing one in the garage, drill 1 hole in the side the existing box, fish a piece of romex up about 3 feet and add a single gang box. He didn't have the material for the job, I actually went to Lowe's to buy him a single gang box. The job in the garage shouldn't have taken more than 30-45 mins for someone who knows what they are doing, outside required drilling thru the dining room wall running a piece of metal conduit across and up about 15 feet in total and drilling thru the header panel above the water closet and adding surface box inside of the water heater closet, 1 1/2 hrs should have been more the enough time for this second outlet. All work accomplished on ground floor, no ladder work and all areas were easily accessible. No way was there 5 hours of work here, Charles just wanted to add additional cost to the bill by dragging his feet. Do not use this company you will be dissapointed.

Mark came on time, drilled through the bedroom wall outlet (including brick on the exterior surface)and mounted an all-weather outlet where it was needed. Since we still had time, I had him install an additional outlet on the outside of my garage, so I could use my power tools and leaf blower, etc. He did such a good job, I tipped him. Mark was part of the team that had done a previous job for me, so I'm a repeat customer.

Charles and his team were top notch. During the initial consultation he spend almost two hours doing a thorough assessment of our home and the work required and took the time to understand exactly what we were trying to accomplish with our project. His bid was comprehensive and very fair. When his team came to they house, they took extra care to protect the floors, walls, etc. and were diligent in cleaning up as they worked. Throughout the process Charles treated my home as if it were his. I would highly recommend Charles Young Electric for any project you may have. We'll be a repeat customer.

I had him install can lights in my living room. He and his assistant were very prompt and professional.
