All went well except Angie's list cost was only labor. Parts not included!!!

The service provided by Charles Young Electric was performed to my satisfaction. I found the men to be friendly and professional. They phoned prior to their arrival to let me know when they would be at my home. I would definitely hire this company again when I need additional electrical work performed.

The guys came on time. Within 2 hours, they had run an electrical line under our flagstone patio (I had trenched and removed the stones prior to them arriving), and set up an outlet on our deck, and hooked up electricity to the lights that had been installed by the deck builders under the steps. The big deal was for 2 hours I think, so I was surprised when he handed me the invoice, and there was an hourly charge. He explained that because there were two of them, it was like they had been working for four hours. Oh well, it was still reasonable if unexpected, and the outlet and lights work, so overall I'm happy.

Great, the electrician went right to work installing the fan and finished in no time. he then asked if we had anything else that I wanted him to do and he did the items I had.

Charles and his small crew were very punctual and professional. I had him install new circuit/outlet for landscape lighting which I was installing. He managed the installation process while his worker did most of the work. While the work was being completed, I asked charles to also provide me an estimate for recessed lighting install. He was honest and actually brought my attention to a Big Deal he had currently listed for recessed can installation. The landscape outlet job was completed within about an hour and a half and everything worked as expected. The job site was left very clean. I will definitely use Charles for future "advanced" electrical work.

We were pleased with him except his charges are for man hours. I thought that it was just $99.00 for 2 hours, which ended up doubling my cost.

When the 2 men arrived, they discovered an outlet that was available that I was unaware of. Basically, no electrical work was required, but they completely hid the cord after plugging it in. Then they replaced light bulbs in two track light sets. The young men were very courteous and willing, it just turned out that I didn't actually need to have the intended work done.

They were on time, very professional, and definitely knew what they were doing. They didn't waste any time getting started and did a great job. I would definitely use them again.

Really good experience overall from setting up the appointment to the actual install

I like the fact that he was honest with me and told me it was the light bulb, which was a simple fix. I gave a C only because when I spoke with Charles on the phone, it sounded like he was a licensed electrician, but he sent someone else to do the job. I expected it was going to be him coming out. When the electrician installed the new fixture, he installed it backwards and tried to make it fit so he wouldn't have to take it down and change it. It is a really uniquely designed fixture and had to be removed anyways and reinstalled correctly.

They arrived on time, worked in the pouring rain without complaint, were conscientious about coming through my home from the backyard to their truck in the front yard with wet clothes and shoes. Very polite, knew what they were doing, and successfully got the spa wiring done. They even went out of their way to label all of the circuit breakers and fix the latch on the fuse box!

We were satisfied with their service.

They arrived on schedule. I showed them around and what needed to be done. They gave me an idea of how long it would take and their plan to complete the tasks. They were extremely polite and great to work with. They experienced some challenges due to the way the house was wired, but for every challenge, they explained exactly what my options were and what additionally would be needed to set it up the way I wanted. They did an excellent job and I'm so pleased!

Loved these guys, Awesome. I had been having problems with blowing the circuit when vacuuming -- they vacuumed until it happened again! Figured out what it was. They also put the ceiling fan up in the 2nd bedroom. I had purchased the parts, once of which wasn't the correct part. So they took my part and exchanged it for one that would work! So I got my ceiling fan in! They were very neat, and cleaned up after themselves. They extended every courtesy to make the experience a positive one. Definitely would recommend these guys!

Went well; I was surprised to out that the owner came with an additional worker (who by the way was professional and polite, which is exactly what we need). The work was performed a few months ago; and everything is working as expected.

This electrician confirmed our appointment, and arrived punctually. He and his helper worked quietly and efficiently. They were very respectful, courteous and clean.

This was a simple installation on the wall of a closet with an electrical outlet on the other side of the wall. Charles said he would buy and bring the lamp to be installed, which turned out to be unsatisfactory. Although Charles was not here, his brother and another family member came to do the work and offered to make a trip to home depot to get a more suitable fixture. One worked on the installation and the other shopped. He sent pictures via phone and after some discussion, he found a really nice wall fixture for a reasonable price. We certainly appreciate the effort on their part. Installation went without a hitch. We're pleased.

Overall from start the finish an excellent professional job!

Charles Young was responsive, professional, and helpful from start to finish. We were having some electrical issues in our home consisting of lights dimming, breakers abnormally flipping off, etc. Charles came out and evaluated our existing main electrical panel and advised us that we needed a panel upgrade as the existing panel was only 50 amps, which was severely undersized for the panel load inside the house. Additionally, there was some wiring from the main panel to the adjacent subpanel that needed to be fixed. Charles and his crew arrived on time the day of the appointment and worked hard all day to get the job done right. This work required a permit and inspection from the County as well as coordination with SMUD to shut the power off to the residence while the work was performed and to upgrade the wiring from the SMUD pole to the house when the work was finished (prior to turning the power back on). When the work was done, the County inspection and approval was required prior to SMUD turning the power back on, thus the coordination between Charles, the County, and SMUD was very important. Charles coordinated with the County and SMUD without fail, got the job completed, and at the end of the day we had a new electrical panel and the power turned back on! Charles was GREAT to work with and I highly recommend him to others who need a knowledgable, respectful, and legit electrician. I would certainly use him again in the future!

They were extremely efficient, pleasant and bright and I anticipate using the Company again in the coming months for the installation of interior lighting.

They did a fine job. They arrived promptly as promised. Went to work right away and did everything that needed to be done. Kept me up to date. Tested everything and cleaned up. They were very courteous and helpful.

They did a great job and were very thoughtful to make the job look as good as possible, routing conduit through cabinets and surface ounting receptacles as requested. They gave me many options to try and keep the cost to a minimum. I would highly recommend them for any project... I am on Angie's list today to check for any special offers as I am about to give them a call and have them come out for another project!!
