Charles Young Electric

I needed to have floresent lights checked in the kitchen. There seemed to be a short. I advised before arrival after speaking with Charles and explaining the problem. He said he would send the two electricians with new ballasts and I also asked for the cost to install outside security flood lights. They provided me with the receipt from Emighs for the ballasts and I added that to the final cost for service. The two electricians were professional, the installations went well and I got a price for installation of flood lights for the future. I felt they were honest and gave me ways to save money. They were excellent and I would recommend them to others.

Courteous on the phone and when they arrived. They did all I asked (had them install light fixture we were having alot of problems with) and they were pleasant and professional the whole time! Couldn't ask for more! Thank you!!!!!

They arrived, installed the plug and cleaned up the attic wiring. They were helpful, courteous, and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves. We were very pleased,

The work was done very quickly and efficiently. They identified challenges and came up with solutions. Couldn't have been better.

I had played phone tag with Charles Young for a couple of days (mostly because I am difficult to get in touch with at work). We made contact on a Saturday afternoon and he offered to have his team stop by on their way home from another job that afternoon. I was very impressed with their sense of urgency and responsiveness to our problem. A team of 2 arrived even earlier than promised. They set out to troubleshoot our electrical issue, found the cause, and fixed it. They retraced the circuit through the house again before leaving to ensure everything was functioning correctly. They were friendly and efficient.

Very nice and professional guys; came within the timeframe scheduled, reviewed with me the work they were going to perform before they started, and worked efficiently. Had a couple electrical units moved a few inches and a new plug installed in the garage (for a garage door opener), and did very clean work. Took an hour to do both tasks. Will definitely use them again for future electrical needs.

I was having some problems with certain breakers not working and shorting out on the buss panel. I also wanted to add another breaker for a spa circuit. Although I tried to come up with a suitable solution myself, my limited experience in these matters wasn't enough to fix the problem to my satisfaction. I am also an Angie's List "A" rated provider in my own trade. One of my customers had used Charles Young for her own project and spoke highly of him. I called several providers to get competing bids, but only Charles Young responded in a timely manner. He was able to diagnose the basic problem, come up with a creative, effective solution, and have it completed in the same day. I was very impressed with every aspect of my first use of Charles Young Electric. Charles was quick, knowledgeable, attentive to to my needs, and thorough. Although I'm not looking forward to anymore electrical problems, I will be using Charles when they inevitably occur.

We called and left a message for Charles Young. He returned our call the same evening (pretty prompt). When speaking to Mr. Young we asked if he was able to install garage door openers and he was not (we were okay with this). We then asked if he could install chandeliers and fanlights for us in our home. He was able and willing and we were about to schedule an appointment. During the conversation, I informed Mr. Young that we have high ceilings and he asked how high. We were not and still are not sure, but they are second story ceilings from the bottom/ground floor, he asked if we could measure. He also stated he did not have a ladder that would reach the second story but that he could borrow one from his neighbor. We were okay with that UNTIL he stated he charges an additional $35 for the ladder because the hours it takes to load and unload the ladder. This is a concept we couldn't quite wrap our minds around, you want to charge additional fees for equipment your company doesn't have and this one additional piece of equipment takes hours to load and unload. All in all I would really have rather had my lighting installed by a professional so that I do not have worry about electrical malfunctions, fires, and such. We'll just look elsewhere.

This was a great experience--Mark and David did such a good job--I had 15 cam lights installed. I had my kitchen and 2 bathrooms updated as my house was built in 1971. Charles Young Electric is first rate and when he recommended Bruce Anderson to do the sheetrock and painting I took his advice and am so glad. Bruce and Kenneth did an amazing job--call them perfectionists. I would definitly use all of them again.

1 ceiling fan installed & 1 ceiling fan lowered in room with 12 foot ceiling. Work went well & men were very accomodating.

These guys are great. They did a great job, installed the lights perfectly. The layout, lighting and dimmers were exactly what I wanted and what we got. They even found a problem with the our electrical caused by the previous owner and addressed the issue during the install. Would use them again in a heart beat!

Charles went to Home Depot, bought the light and replaced it for an additional $45 dollars. They arrived on time, went directly to work, worked very well together, cleaned up after themselves and then left. I was very happy with their work and have referred three friends to them who need electrical work.

From start to finish we were extremely satisfied with the experience we had with Charles Young Electric. All calls and e-mails were responded to promptly. Charles came out and gave us an estimate that was more than fair and we set a date for the work to be preformed. Mr. Young and his crew arrived on time, got right to work and finished in the estimated time at the quoted price. Despite having to be around different rooms in the house including the attic, when they were finished everything was clean and you couldn't even tell workman had been in the house except that we had great new fans and new lighting in the laundry room!! We provided our own fans, lighting and dimmer/timers and Charles was excellent in providing us with information on products and made suggestions as to what we should be looking for. We still have some more work to do and will absolutely be hiring them in the near future.

Using an Angie's List Big Deal, we had LED pot lights installed in our family room. I was very pleased with the work and especially the amount of light provided with the LED lights!! I asked for an estimate for converting the existing pot lights in the kitchen from the very hot spot lights to LED. He provided a quote, went to the store while his assistants (2) were cleaning up and within a very short time I had very efficient LED lights in two rooms. I had put off getting the lights (installed and upgraded) for such a long time because I thought it was going to be way too expensive. Boy was I wrong! Charles Young Electric was prompt and very willing to make "upgrades" to the Big Deal I had purchased so that I got exactly what I wanted. Even with extra cost for the upgrades I requested, I felt that the price was very reasonable.

Great! We would hire them again. They were professional and patient.

There were actually two trips - it was split into two jobs. The outdoor work and the estimate for the indoor work were done on the first visit. The indoor work was done on the second visit. The workers were punctual, very courteous and when they left, you would never know we had just had work done. We will use them again if we need any more electrical work done.

Mr Young answered all calls promptly to set an appointment. On the day of service, he called to let us know he was stuck in traffic and gave us an estimated arrival. He arrived on time with his crew and went to work. He didn't have regular bulbs on hand so he offered a discounted price on LED lights. We now have light in a room that previously only had a cheap floor lamp. We can now enjoy the room at night.

Easily solved a big concern and provided mediocre service on lesser issue. The technicians were nice. The service wasn't memorable either positively or negatively.

The work was performed competently and professionally.

Excellent experience. Timely, courteous, fan installation presented a couple of challenges, and they were able to adapt as needed for a great outcome. The flouresecent fixture needing repair was diagnosed and works like a charm, plus no flourescent hum. Highly recommended.

Two men did the job and they were skilled and efficient. The entire project went smoothly and we would use the Charles Young team again if the needed for more electrical work.

I purchased the 2 hours of electrical service for $99. With that I had Charles Young Electric install a ceiling fan in my guest room. The men were punctual & knowledgeable. They gave me estimates for future work, so I have purchased a second certificate to get that wok done. I highly recommend them!
