It went great. The two guys did a great job and were very thorough. Carefully cleaned up after themselves also.

Charles and his brother showed up on time, and both were friendly and pleasant. Charles spoke to me at length regarding projects I have in mind for the future. And actually, we went past the two hours I paid for. In fact, it was closer to 3 hours, but Charles did not charge me for the extra hour. I will definitely call Charles in the future when I need an electrician again.

I emailed Charles Young Electric after purchasing my coupons and they gave me a call back the next day. We set up a time for the installation over the phone for the next week (when I could get some time off work). The guys doing the installation showed up promptly and got right to work. They were very friendly and knew what they were doing. They even fixed an issue in the ceiling light box that had been caused by the builders. Between the two of them, they were able to get all three fans done in around an hour and a half, which was great because I was expecting it to take longer. Overall it was a great experience in my opinion. The only suggestions I have would be to maybe call the day before the appointment to confirm the time and to maybe get some shoe covers if the house has carpet. Thanks a bunch! I love my new fans.

The two electricians arrived on time as scheduled. I explained what I needed done (which wires were to go to which location and where it was to be routed), and showed them the layout. Then, after telling them to contact me if they ran into any issues/problems or needed a decision, I got out of the way and let them do their job. The two of them quickly and professionally went about their work and completed the job in one hour.

The workers from Charles Young Electric were very helpful. I had a part I wanted installed, but it was faulty, since it was a special order, they couldn't replace it.

We had already purchased two ceiling fans to replace existing fans. These two coupons (75 each) were to put together and install these fans. He was very prompt, courteous and efficient. The fans work great - and he cleaned up after himself.

My clothes dryer, which is located in the garage, would not run correctly; it would start to run, then shut off. I called Charles Young Electric to see if they would come and take a look at it. They were here exactly on time, were pleasant and professional, and told me that rats had chewed through the wiring. They needed to get to the wiring through the garage to replace it, but due to the massive amount of items stored exactly where they needed to work (naturally), they had to "think outside the box" to figure another way to complete the job. They did so, and the work was completed to my satisfaction. Not normally having to call electricians, I can't say if what they charged was reasonable or not. It was more than I hoped it would be, but maybe compared to other companies, it was a bargain.

The electrical work performed by the workers at Charles Young Electrical did a great job and I highly recommend them. I was a little confused when I purchased a $99 coupon at Angies for 2 hours work and what I got was 2 workers showing up for 1 hours work under the coupon. But I understand you can ask for just one person. But that aside, I thought they were very knowledgeable and did great work.

Charles first came out and provided estimates for the work. Originally the 1st visit was only going to be grounding 3 outlets in a bedroom (1 on an exterior wall, 2 on an interior wall). Everything looked good so we agreed to a start date. The 1st visit happened to be when the exterior walls had been exposed by my siding contractor. Charles recommended that because of the accessibility to the outlets from the outside, we ground some of the other outlets on the exterior walls. I agreed, so he grounded 4 more. For the 2nd visit I had torn off the wood paneling in my family room, and Charles and his crew came in and put that room on a new 20 amp circuit. The existing circuit now feeds just the garage. In the garage, he removed an extension cord that was spanning from a wall to a rafter (about 6 feet) with tubing that ran up the wall and along a joist to the rafter. He also recommended grounding an outlet that was in the dining room, but because it shared a wall with the family room and was exposed, it would be easy to ground that too. I agreed, so that work was added. Overall, I was very pleased with the work and Charles and his crew.

The work was done in an efficient and professional manner. Explained what was wrong and fixed what could be fixed and for the item that could not be fixed provide the part number for the replacement part (i.e. the fan part of the light/fan assembly for the laundry area). Also, informed me that two of my outside lights were not in compliance with the current code. (These lights are in an overhang and are really inside light fixtures.) Provided information as to what would be appropriate as a replacement for these lights. When asked about options for lighting the garage, given a couple of choices. All in all a very positive experience. They were helpful, informative, and respectful (i.e.did not talk down to me).

I was sick of the old, funky track lighting in my living and dining room, and wanted to replace them with recessed LED lights. When I spoke to Charles on the phone to schedule the job, he asked me what kind of LED bulbs I had in the kitchen, as I wanted the same lights in the living and dining rooms. I wasn't able to describe the kind of bulbs, so I sent him a photo of one of the lights. That way, he was able to purchase the correct materials. He asked me to purchase new switch plates and wall covers, which I did. Charles and Marcus arrived right on time. We discussed where I wanted the lights placed. Once Marcus got up into the attic, he found that the rafters would require a different configuration. After we discussed the options, we decided on the placement of the lights. Discovered that I hadn't purchased quite the right switch plates, so I made a quick trip to the big box store to return the incorrect ones and buy the right ones. The old wiring at one of the switches was done incorrectly, so Charles and Marcus fixed it. I am very pleased with how the new recessed lights look, and I now have much brighter and evenly distributed light. They did a very good job of cleaning up after themselves when the job was done.

Two workers arrived a little early (which was good) and did the work quickly and professionally. I called the owner after purchasing the "big deal" for $399 for installation of 4 recessed ceiling lamps. The owner asked whether I wanted to upgrade to LED lamps for an additional $40 each. He said LED's would be required if I sold the house. Assuming the requirement is true, this is still a marketing gimmick which I don't believe is appropriate for Angie's list. What reasonable person would go to the trouble of installing incandescent lights knowing they would be required to pay to remove them and install LED's at a later date? The lamps and the cans were purchased at Home Depot. The price (including tax at Home Depot was about $38 per lamp and $15 per can for a total of $53 per installed lamp. There were some additional material costs for wire and caulking, but total materials were not more than $55 per lamp. I paid $560 for the four new lamps and $60 for the retrofitted lamp (which did not require a new "can"). Therefore, labor costs were about $340 for the four new lamps and $22 for the retrofitted lamp. The job took about 2.5 hours for the two workers.

I was very satisfied. They were fast and very friendly.

They were punctual professinal and an excellent job. After the job was complete, I had a problem, and Charles Young personally took care of it.

Charles and his brother (I don't remember his name) arrived right on time early morning. Brother went up into the attic to do the wiring for the new ceiling fan. The older ceiling fan in the exercise room clanged when set on the 2 highest speeds. It had been doing this for the past few years. Charles figured out what the problem was and fixed it. Yay! Once the attic wiring was completed, Charles and his brother installed the new fan in my home office. Some of the dry wall around the new fan broke. I believe this was unavoidable. Charles gave me the name and phone number of a dry wall contractor whom he trusts. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. We got to talking about how I'd like to change out the lighting in my living/dining room with recessed lighting. I decided I'd call them at a later date for that job. While discussing recessed lighting, I expressed my disappointment with CFL bulbs, and how they don't live up to the hype. We talked about the advantages of LED lighting instead. I decided I wanted to make that change in the kitchen. Charles' brother said he could pick up the necessary items after his last job of the day, and come over at 6:00 to change out the kitchen lighting. True to his word, he arrived right on time and quickly completed the work. While he was working in the kitchen, he noticed the rattling of the air/heat register in the dining room when the air came on. It'd been rattling for so long, I no longer noticed it. He offered to fix it for me, which he did at no charge. Overall, I was very pleased with Charles and his brother. They were professional, very personable and helpful. I won't hesitate to hire them again.
