Friendly and proffessional. One of the porch lights I purchased was defective. I returned it and bought another. Charles electric came back the next day to install it with no extra charge.

I had a programable door bell installed with new wiring. I have an older house and the wiring was not up to date for the new door bell. They had some difficulty with the wiring in the attic area so it took longer than they expected. Two wires were cut accidentally and had to be fixed. They did not charge for the time involved in the repair. I thought it was a little expensive but I have not had an electrician do work in a long time so I was not aware of the current hourly costs. They were punctual, pleasant and cleaned up after finishing. I will use them in the future.

It went well. There wasn't a lot for them to do, but that was my fault.

They were quick to set up our appointment and arrived on time. He installed a weather protected outlet on our patio. My only concern is that it was installed half way up the wall and I would have preferred that it be installed closer to the ground, not sure if that was done for safety or because there is a matching outlet inside the house at exactly the point he placed it outside. Everything works well and we're otherwise pleased with the work. Because we'd purchased a Big Deal, he still had some time left after finishing our outdoor outlet and was able to also replace/repair an indoor outlet that wasn't working. I appreciate that he didn't stretch to use up all of his time outside and left enough time to finish both repairs. We would definitely recommend them.

Provider arrived as scheduled and performed installation as desired. Although all of the communication was via telephone while I was at work, all aspects of the job were explained to me in a straightforward, professional manner and the project was completed to my satisfaction. I would recommend Charles Young Electric to anyone needing electrical service.

It was very good. I thought there was some extra charge but it was just the basic price, no extras so it was good. I think the price was good. They got straight back to me. They were right on time and right days and everything.

This project turned out to be a little more complicated than it appeared at first, but I was expecting that, and I think the extra charges we incurred for the work, in addition to the Big Deal price of $399, were reasonable. When I first contacted the business owner, he told me what the extra charges would be if new wiring needed to be added, as well as how much extra LED lights would be, so I knew the total potential cost upfront. I was hoping to tie in the power for the new lights to an existing switch in the entryway of our house, but this turned out not to be possible given our attic layout, so we did ultimately incur the new wiring costs we had discussed. The gentlemen who came to do the work on our project did a very good job; they were prompt, capable, and clean. Good job guys!

It went ok. It was supposed to be 2 hours work for about $120, I think. I was disappointed that they lacked what I thought would be basic supplies like plate covers for wall sockets---they did not have enough. It seems like they could have checked the outlets a little more thoroughly to see if they were all functioning properly---I was the one who pointed them to ones I knew had problems, but they did not show any initiative to examine other outlets. They were in and out in maybe an hour and 20 minutes, rather than 2 hours---but maybe there wasn't much more they could have done.

Very nice, professional people. Explained what they were doing and have the fan worked. Did the work quickly and were very helpful.

They were amazing. They really went above and beyond. They found a problem with our electrical box and replaced the fuse. He did all of our outlets. They were very professional and very nice.

Fabulous. From the estimate to the invoice everything was very professional. Appearances and work spaces were clean and orderly. They were always on time and quick with their work. They were informative and helpful with questions and concerns. I felt they were honest and didn't try to get more work than was necessary so as not to bilk me for money. They were even very accomodating to come back before another job the next morning to hang the light fixtures that hadn't arrived on time the day before!

It worked out just fine. The 2 electricians they sent were pretty knowledgeable. They are a pretty good spirit couple of guys. It was a fair price.

We purchased the 6 can light and they did a professional job and everything was install perfect. One thing that wasn't specified in the coupon was the drywall repair. We had them install can lights in the ceiling between 2 stories and it was an extra cost. With the holes they put in the ceiling to run the wiring, it cost an additional $450 to repair the drywall. This is something that they should have specified before or lowered the additional price for the 2nd story install. We didn't know that the additional $350 didn't include the drywall repair after the work was done. It costed almost $1600 for 6 can lights with all the drywall, texturing, and painting match that had to be done for the holes. They did the job fine but all the additional work that wasn't covered was the problem. I would use them in the future but I will get everything upfront before I asked them to do any work in the future.

Words cannot say what a wonderful job the team at Charles Young Electric did for me. I just purchased a home in Lincoln, which needed major updating. The recessed lights were all halogen, there were fluorescent lights in the kitchen, and the ceiling fans were all dated. Lighting in a home is not just to provide light, but it is also to provide the right ambiance for the home. Charles gets that, and he is great at thinking through what layout is best for both functionality and mood. I just wanted the halogen lights gone, but hadn't really thought about what would replace them. Charles came to the rescue by recommending LED recessed lights. I like uniformity, so where one could replace a ceiling light, we did it, and it updated the home and gave it a contemporary, clean look. He even recommended additional recessed lights in the living room to balance out the lighting. He knew enough to place them in a certain way to allow them to accent a built in unit if I chose to add one in. THAT was the forward thinking I wanted. The team is skilled at rewiring and had no problems working in the heat in the attic to complete the positioning of the lights. Even though it was in the high 90's, then team didn't complain at all. That just speaks to the professionalism of Charles' team. They replaced all of the ceiling fans (with LED lights of course), and were able to ensure that I didn't have to go looking for a remote. I wanted to control the fan/lights from a wall switch, and they were able to accommodate my request. Charles was also able to change the switches out so that I could have dimmers where I wanted them. He added a switch so that I could switch on the kitchen lights when coming in from the garage. I hadn't even noticed that there wasn't a switch there because it's just something you expect to have. I don't recommend someone unless I truly feel the work performed will be consistent on the next job they do. If you are looking for a high quality electrical team that can change your home with well designed lighting and an atmosphere to fit your character, then Charles Young Electrical is for you.

Great job. The owner sent out to very professional young men and they did a great job. They also turned all electronics back on to ensure all connections were still good.

This company is very slow to respond to phone calls, and their crew was late in arriving. However, putting this aside, the electricians were fast, friendly, and professional.

Everything was completed quickly and efficiently. Each of the guys took one of the jobs and were able to complete the work and cleaned up after they were done.

He was very personable and prompt and did what was he was supposed to do. Originally I purchased the Big Deal to have a couple off fuses repaired in the living room. His son and someone else performed this service on a separate visit and I would have preferred that the original gentleman who came out would have done this.

I purchased a ceiling fan installation that was on sale for $75. The company was easy to get ahold of, and I was able to schedule an appointment for just a couple of days out. I believe it was the owner's nephew and someone who seemed to be an apprentice who came to my house. They were friendly and professional, worked quickly, and were clean. When I popped into the room a few times while they were working, they explained what they were doing, showed me how they were balancing the fan so it wouldn't wobble, showed me how to remove the light cover so I could change light bulbs, etc. During the initial phone call to make the appointment, I was told there would be an additional $20 charge if the remote control switch needed to be added to the fan. It did, and I wasn't surprised when the additional charge was added. Great experience, I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic! Very responsive, knowledgable and thorough.

This is the second time we've used Charles Young Electric. They installed can lights for us, and rewired our garage. All of our outlets in the garage now work, there is light in there, and a bunch of the outside lights work as well! Fantastic work, very reasonable pricing. Arrived early, work was accomplished quickly, cleaned up, and very personable. We will use them in the future! Great experience.

Two friendly electricians arrived right on time. We discussed what I needed (two outlets: one in the attic, one in the bathroom) and they finished both to my utmost satisfaction. The job was clean and exactly how I wanted it to be. Both were very professional, answering all my questions. Within one hour (2 elctricians = 2 x 1 hr = 2 hrs) all was done, everything was installed, and cleaned up. One drawback: I was charged $35 simply for them to show up; a "trip charge". So the advertised $99 deal was really a $134 deal (>35% price hike), which in my eyes MUST be mentioned in the Deal's Fine Print. In a follow-up with the company, they were apologetic, explaining that "..for some reason Angie's list will not allow [them] to put it in the fine print anymore... [...[ would prefer to have it there". I also paid $15 for parts, which is OK. So in all, $149 for two new electrical outlets. It's probably a fair price, so I give it a C, but it's no longer the advertised deal, due to the $35 markup. Other than, I was a happy customer.
