One of Watson's agents had our listing when we needed to relocate to another state. Another of Watson's agents brought the buyer. After the inspection detailed about $3000-4000 in repairs (which we stated in writing that we were willing to perform), the buyer demanded a $25,000 price reduction! When we sought to walk away from the deal, our agent bullied and cajoled us into staying with the deal (very bad decision on our part). One of the reasons she gave us was that "we'd be done by Christmas." Because the buyer demanded a quick close (December 18), I flew back to Bakersfield to pack up our house at an inconvenient time right before the holidays. Neither of the Watson agents mentioned any possible problems or delays. The packing and loading was completed December 17. The very next morning (the day we were supposed to close), the buyer's agent announced that we wouldn't close because of loan problems (and claimed she hadn't known ahead of time). Either 1) the buyer's agent was deceptive; or 2) she wasn't staying on top of her transaction (incompetence or negligence). We thought that our agent should have paid closer attention to the transaction to avoid this unpleasant surprise. During the next few weeks of tense negotiations, we felt deceived and manipulated. To make a long story short, we had to consult an attorney and didn't close until January 9th. The only redeeming feature of the transaction was that we got a discount on the agent's commission because things had gone so wrong. I will give them credit for that much -- it is the reason for the "A" on price.
Description of Work: Agency had both the listing agent and the buyer's agent in the sale of our home.
