Had appointment scheduled for 6/29/15 to come give estimate for countertops. Never showed up, never called since.

Having just retired, I just purchased a home in Kern City that was built in 1962. No upgrades were ever done in the last 52 years. I gutted the kitchen and installed all new cabinetry and wanted granite countertops & backsplashes. To save money, I wanted to go with standard prefab granite slabs as I thought it would save me a ton of money over custom fabricated granite. I received several bids that I thought were way "over-priced" for pre-fab granite. On a fluke, I looked on Angie's List and found Stone Crafters, a local licensed & insured contractor with several favorable reviews. I called on 12/16/14 and spoke with Armando Trevino, the owner. He came to my house within 2 hours to evaluate the job and provided a written bid on the spot. He went into great detail about the quality and longevity of the prefab granite slabs I was considering explaining the fact that these slabs are imported from China and come in grades A, B & C (fair to poor to say the least). Armando showed me a sample of his granite with finished edges and it was QUALITY STUFF. I agreed to the bid and Armando left only to return with his installation foreman 2 hours later who took exacting measurements and made actual templates of my counters at the same time. I was told that the complete fabrication and installation would take place 7 days later.I met with his foreman the following morning at his shop on Buck Owens Blvd at 7:30AM to confirm the slab choice & color (15 minutes total) then went home. 6 days later I received a phone call confirming the installation for the 23rd as we had agreed to. At 9:00AM on the 23rd, the foreman and an additional 2 man crew showed up to complete the installation. They made sure that anything in the kitchen that could be damaged, was protected. They constantly cleaned up behind themselves after every phase of the installation which really pleased me. The installation was completed in about 6 hours and was perfect (note: I am VERY picky as far as quality). There were NO mistakes made on this job. Stone Crafters is not a large company, but what they lack in size, they more than make up for in quality work. I cannot recommend Armando Trevino & his crew more highly. I would give them 6 stars if available. I am very proud of his work ethic and craftsmanship. Anyone is welcome to contact me personally & come by to see his completed job. If you are considering any granite or tile work, Stone Crafters IS the company to deal with.

Armando and crew did a great job.  The kitchen seams are very hard to find (something about which I was very concerned).  He helped us pick the granite and he did a great job.  I had them come back and do the bathroom and they did a great job again.

I would use them if I ever needed more granite work and I highly recommend them.

Started work on monday, may 26...job was completed on friday, may 29. Very pleased with quLityand timlines.

We met and interviewed five of the top granite people in town. All came highly recommended from others.
Armando (Stone Crafters) came to our house and took a long (unhurried) time describing what he wanted to do and how he would accomplish the task. I had some ideas for which I asked Armando’s opinion. He gave me very good answers. He was not shy about showing me where some of my ideas would not work well. He was very polite and he was absolutely correct.
Armando met us at the granite yard and helped us pick out granite. We had already made some choices and he noted that one of our choices had structural flaws that could have been very bad. He also helped us pick granite that had excellent polish and would seam very well.
I was very concerned about the seams because I have seen other jobs where the seams are terrible. He told me that his seams would be as close to invisible as possible.
The Stone Crafter team arrived on schedule (Monday) and demoed and templated the kitchen and laundry room with little fanfare. They were supposed to return on Friday to install the countertops. We had (early on) mentioned that we were having people over on Friday for dinner. Armando got everything done by Thursday (nice surprise which we had not expected).
The team installed the counters and they look fantastic. The seams really are close to invisible. I have had some people come
by to look at the counters and they have a difficult time finding the seam even when they know where to look.
I did not have Armando do the backsplashes because I wish to do them myself.
Also, Armando suggested which faucets were the best to use. He was correct on this. The faucets look and work very well. His suggestion on the one faucet saved us several hundred dollars.
I would use Stone Crafters again anytime I need granite. They were informative, helpful, friendly, punctual, cost effective, and consummately professional.
AND – I cannot see the seams!

We met with Armando on the house show over the weekend and called him and others for the bid. Armando was on time to give us the bid, even thought he was not the lowest but we decided to go with him because of his professional and punctuality.
He went above and beyond to complete the work and the best - Our kitchen looks great - I would recommend him for any job.

Armando came to my house took me to pick out granite, tiles and sink. Gave estimate, start and completion time. Armando was knowledgable, courteous, and wonderful to work with. His crews are true tradesmen. The price was more than reasonable. The job was completed in four days and on the date promised. I would recommend Armando and his company to anyone. What a pleasant experience this job was.

What they did was great, what they didn't do was not so good.  The original estimate was a good price, however, I did some of the work myself and they did not take off for that.  They had to go to another job and did not finish installing the outlets, so I had to install them myself.  What they cut out for the cooktop wasn't accurate, when I told them about it they wanted to give me another bid to fix it.  I have to say though, they had good resources for the sink and stuff.  The workers were awesome, and I couldn't be more pleased with the countertops and the installation they did do.  The quality of service was excellent they just left some things undone.  I would probably use them again in the future, I just would be more specific.
