+ -1 moreWe wanted to purchase a garage door opener and have it installed. We were told they would not even allow us to have the installation without a 'detail' - a service where the installer (not from Lowe's but from a local garage door company) would come out to assess whether or not they could do the installation. After doing some research, we found out that this is a voluntary service and is NOT a requirement. When we tried to get a refund of the cost, we were told that they would NOT refund the cost of the service, even if we didn't want it. We then went to the Lowe's on Rosedale and they helped us to get the cost reversed. Not only is it NOT required, they do not even contract for installations anymore.
Description of Work: They forced us to purchase something called a 'detail' for the installation of a garage door opener, which they no longer install.
