LM Appliance Repair

These guys were great. They came the same day they were called and fixed the icemaker in my refrigerator. They were friendly, professional and efficient. I will definitely call them again when needed.

I chose LM Appliance because of the good reviews Luis gets. I called him out to repair our dishwasher which was malfunctioning, and from the beginning I found him to be unreliable and not great at communicating. He missed our first appointment completely and didn't call, later claiming car trouble. Then after coming out and determining the cause of the dishwashers' problem and ordering a very expensive new part for it, he disappeared for over a week and didn't return phone calls or texts, later claiming an illness. I believe him and I'm sorry for his troubles, but as a customer, all I knew at the time was that I was being ignored. He eventually installed the new part, only to have the dishwasher give the same error message just a few days later. He came back and said I was loading incorrectly, and I was careful to follow his suggestions after that. The dishwasher began malfunctioning again a few days late, and after 3 voicemails and several texts I haven't ever heard back from him again. If something has happened to him, I do feel sympathetic and sorry to leave a harsh review, but nearly $400 later and still having the same problem I'm very frustrated and I feel cheated. Despite others' good experiences with him, I would not recommend him to anyone else and certainly wouldn't call him again.

The spring for our ice maker flapper broke which was causing warm air to get inside the ice maker and frost up the ice.  Luis searched for just a spring part to replace but the manufacturer did not sell just that part.  He ordered the whole dispenser panel and replaced it.  He was courteous and willing to call before he came over so that we wouldn't be stuck waiting around the house for the whole appointment time block.  We were very pleased with his service and glad our ice maker works properly again.

Prompt response and follow up.

This went well.  Oven now works.  I'm relieved.  He checked my refrigerator and found that there was something wrong with the line under the house and said to call a plumber for that.  I did and if I still need him after that is done, I will call him back.  I'm pleased.

Called in the morning and Luis showed up around 6PM as promised.  Took about 30 minutes to figure out what was wrong fixed it gave us some advice about other things in the house and went on his way.  The guy is great - will use him again and recommend him highly.

Second Time using Luis this time to fix a broken fridge.  Came over the
same day I called him on a Saturday showed me exactly what was wrong and
had parts to fix it right away.  He knows what he is doing, he is
honest, and does a great job.  Prices are very reasonable.  Would
recommend him to anyone.

My mother's old washing machine had stopped working and I was going to buy her a new machine.  After looking at many stores, I realized most new washing machines were to complicated for my 81 year old mother.  I got LM Appliance's phone number from Angie's lists and called them for any appointment.  I was surprised how quick LM Appliance was able to come out to look at the washing machine and determine what the problem was.  Luis was very knowledgeable about the older washing machine and even did some minor work such as replacing old belts in the Maytag washer.  The washing machine is working great and everyone is very happy!

I called Luis from the Angie's list posting, called him at 1pm and he was at my house by 2:30 to look at my refrigerator.  He was able to diagnose within minutes of looking at the unit.  He determined that my door switch was faulty and needed to be replaced, which was causing my door alarm to go off. He is going to the part order on Monday and replace on Wednesday, yeah! 

Came over on Sunday afternoon to fix my washing machine.  Luis
was very professional and I saw everything e was doing and explained
exactly what was wrong.  Not only is he a very trustworthy technician
but very efficient and professional and reasonable.  We will be using
him in the near future.  Thank You Luis

The service call and repair process went excellent, and he also gave us tips concerning the care of my dryer.

Contacted repairman in mid afternoon with a washer that was out of commission until it could be repaired. He was able to come that same evening and repaired the machine without a problem. I was very impressed by his knowledge of the machine and the efficient manner in which he performed the repairs. He will have my business from now on. His charges are very reasonable.
