So far so good. They were informative, professional, and we have cool air again on a 105-degree day. I would have liked to pay less, but LaVerne and Son seemed to be the most reasonable for the equipment and level of service they provided. They were pleasant to work with.

it took him 5 hours. and he was more interested in trying to sell us a new AC unit then to just fix ours. We flat out told him we would NOT be buying a new unit from them, that he needed to find and fix the issues. we really got frustrated with the young fellow. but in the end he finally was able to fix the unot and get our AC working again.

"The problem Our technician found was a bad TXV. In order to replace the TXV he had to remove all the Freon from the evap. coil section, remove the TXV, install the new TXV, and remove existing filter drier and use a torch to braze in a new filter drier, pull system into a vacuum to evacuate contaminates and then recharge system with Freon. This is a very time consuming repair. The time our technician took is within the normal range of time for this type of repair. Anytime there is a major repair on a system we will offer Our Customer the option of replacing the system. If we did not offer this option and another major component were to fail shorty after the previous repair the Customer would be upset with us for not giving them all there options from the beginning. When you are working on older equipment, and major components fail, it is more likely that another major component will fail soon. Hopefully no other parts fail in this system in the near future. They showed up the same day I called. Inspected my electrical box and the sauna. I was concerned I might not have enough room for another switch in my box. But they were able to find a place. They went to get some supplies, returned in a few hours and finished the job that day. They did a good - I was happy with the work.
