Golden Empire Concrete Co

We paid for the concrete work immediately upon completion.  Chuck's Concrete pumping ordered the concrete delivery from Golden Empire Concrete Co.  We paid Chuck's Concrete Pumping service the day the work was completed. However, a couple of days afterward, we received a certified letter from Golden Empire Concrete Co. (Encino CA office) notifiying us of a Mechanican Lien on our property for the cement delivery services that they provided for Chuck Concrete Pumping.  When we contacted our primary contractor, DeMarco's Concrete Construction, they informed us that Golden Empire Concrete Co. always sends a lien notice regardless of the payment status. We were never sent an invoice for payment or contacted regarding any payment. There behavior is excessive, even if they have had a few delinquent payments from other customers.  We do not recommend that anyone do business with this company or anyone that subcontracts to them.
