I met the salesman at my home, he explained the product and the warranty. I paid him in full ($5,900.00) and scheduled the work to begin the next morning.
The salesman made the warranty sound like it was an unlimited warranty. When I asked to see a copy of it, he said it was available for viewing online. Since we were at my rental house, I could not go online and look at it until I got home later that day. When I did read it online there were exclusions listed in it that were in direct conflict with what he said.
1. I asked if gouges were covered - if my tenant moved the fridge and gouged the floor, was it covered? He said yes. I said "Really? Even if it's the tenants fault?" He said yes. The warranty says that gouges are only covered if the proper implements (sliders) are used under appliances. If the sliders aren't used, it voids the warranty.
2. He made it sound unlimited to the degree that I asked, "Even in a flood?" He hesitated and said "yes". The warranty specifically precludes floods.
As soon as I saw the discrepancies, I called the salesman up and told him. He said that online warranty must be an old warranty because he just went to a training a few months ago and was under the impression that they cover just about anything. I asked where I could see the current warranty. He said he would call me back. Later, a supervisor called me back and said the online warranty IS the current warranty. He said, "The salesman was right AND you were right." He was a slippery, politician type - saying things that contradicted other things he said. He was VERY difficult to deal with and did everything to avoid answering me when I said I wanted to cancel the order and not have anything installed the following morning. It took a lot of insistence on my part. Finally, he agreed. I asked how I could check up on the refund and he gave me a name and # to call. I waited a week to call and found out the # was a bogus #. I called the main # they show in the commercials and after being tossed around a phone tree a few times, got a salesman who was just like the supervisor - trying to talk me back into it. He was also very difficult to deal with. He would not accept that I wanted a refund - he tried long and hard to talk me out of it. Finally, I got angry and demanded a refund. He said it would take up to 10 days. I got the refund finally.
They are a dishonest company and they are so "hard sell" (difficult to deal with) once they have your money.
