This Cal Spas dealer has a very nice selection of spas at a fair price. Upon delivering the spa, we had some problems with the owner. We were told that the spa would be craned into our back yard. When our delivery date came, we were told the crane was broken and the spa would have to be "rolled" into the back yard. Luckily it was a round tub. The problem is that there was a chain link fence in the way. We called the owner and told him that this really was not an acceptable arrangement. He stated he did not see what the problem was. I told him that we were not going to take down the chain link fence, as that would entail extra cost to us to have done. His solution was to "slip the delivery guys 20 bucks" and they would take it down for us. When we told him that this was not only unacceptable but a ridiculously poor way for a business to conduct itself, he began screaming over the phone at us about how unreasonable we were being and how hard he was working to make the delivery happen. My wife was six months pregnant at the time, and she was in tears by the end of his raging tirade. I was beyond shocked by his behavior, but he was holding the cards since our spa was not yet delivered. We left the conversation feeling as though it was our fault his crane was broken. He never apologized for his outburst. This was one of the most unprofessional and unpleasant people I have ever had to deal with, and I will NEVER do business with him again. In addition to this, the service department is very slow and often has no one working it. Having used it numerous times to buy parts and chemicals, I routinely was treated as though I was a nuisance because I wanted to buy their product. I started buying directly from the Cal Spas in Southern California, ordering from their website or over the phone. I do not recommend this dealer to anyone for sales or service.
