"It was amazing Chris and Andy did an amazing job. They used a newer method called trenchless were they dug a 4 by 4 hole by the house and one by the street and used a hydraulic pull machine fusing SDR17 pipe approx 60ft from the house to the street using 2 blue band strong back bands rated for 80 pounds keeping root intrusion out. They gave me a 50 year warranty on all work performed parts, labor and material. I'd definitely use them again very honest, professional and efficient"

"Phenomenally. Robert & his team installed new flooring, painted several bedrooms, installed ceramic tiling in my bathroom, a walk in shower, and bathtub. Also installed hardwood floor in kitchen & bedrooms. I’m beyond happy with the outcome of the work. If you’re needing work done around your home, definitely give him a call. Extremely polite, respectful & great communication as well."

"Patrick's very courteous wife, Carrie, took my call, said they were in the neighborhood, and came by within about 15 minutes. It took Patrick about 10 minutes to find that the relay and a bracket had come loose during the move. Patrick reassembled the parts, cleaned out the compartment below the fridge, and had it running within an 50 minutes of my phone call. Could not ask for better service. Cost of the call was labor only/emergency call."

Install Garbage Disposal questions, answered by experts

Garbage disposals can be considered bad for the environment due to their electricity usage, but good for the environment because they reduce the food waste sent to landfills. If everyone used a garbage disposal, it would tax the wastewater treatment facilities in that region, but if we had to choose one of the options, we’d say they are a net positive on the environment when used correctly.

Garbage disposals are durable appliances that usually last at least eight years as long as you clean and maintain them. It’s relatively rare for a garbage disposal to break on its own, as most malfunctions happen due to user errors, like overstuffing the grinding compartment or damaging the blades by trying to dispose of metal or bone. Eventually, cracks or leaks could develop in the unit, which requires a full replacement.

The main issue with garbage disposals is clogging. This can mean a clogging of the pipes that expel the food along with water, or a clogging of the mechanical parts themselves. The problem lies in the solution because you can’t easily see clogs if they’re inside the system, and reaching in to dislodge stuck items is a risky proposal. Call a pro and ask what they would do, but if you can’t see the clog easily, and running the unit won’t free it, you need to let a professional handle the fix.

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. If your garbage disposal needs resetting, you may notice this button sticking out about a quarter of an inch from the surface of the unit, with which it’s usually flush. Simply depress this reset button to reset the unit, and then test to ensure it’s working about 10 minutes later.

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.
