"The installer showed up on time and started work right away.  The installer was polite and professional and understood his work very well.  After discussing the doors and window that should be linked to the alarm, he provided advice on where the key pad should be located.  The installer also set up and explained the system to me as well.  
I docked quality, slightly, on account of the original placement of the pin pad.  The installer put it in a spot that prevented a door in my living room from fully opening.  I pointed this out to him, and the installer was kind enough to move it about 6 inches to fix the problem.  Moving left some extra drill holes in my living room wall, but that's fine as we're repainting soon.

I asked how much it would be on Monday, Alex said about 1/2 but they wouldn't be able to do it until the end of the week. Then, I felt like he was trying to pressure/scare me into going with the high price by saying they wouldn't be able to do it for days. "I hired him in December but it took until February for him to get here to put it in.  The cost actually came in under the estimated cost.  The installation went poorly.  I told him that we needed a 36" door, thinking that's what my initial contractor put in.  He was able to make the door opening larger, without having to change much.  After putting the door in it looked good, except he had used another casement.  I told him that I would replace it on my own.  I'm now going to have to take down the casement again and adjust the drywall.  The new door leaked the first time we had snow.  This leakage stained the casement, but I think I will still going to be able to use it still."
