The work was completed in a timely manner. Work was begun early in the morning and completed by noon, including cleanup of all debris removed from the section of roof repairedc.
Description of Work: They repaired a roof leak. It is difficult to assess the quality of the work as there has been only one really significant rain event since the repair was completed. As the monsoon season progresses and we receive more rain, a reassessment will be done.

I am very satisfied with them. The estimate came out what he said it was going to come out. They did the work that they needed to do. There was one area that they had to come back. It was an additional area, so they had to come back and do that as well. They didn’t charge me for that.
Description of Work: I used them for roofing.

The workers arrived punctually on the scheduled day and began removing the existing roof. The workers took care to cover my decking from damage and were careful not to leave a mess for us to clean up. The workers were professional, polite, and hard working. I did not hear any cussing coming from the roof. This was refreshing. The only problem that I encountered was the color of drip edge on my house is white and the color the workers brought was galvanized. They had already put down the first layer of roofing before I noticed the problem. I pointed it out to the workers who then called their supervisor. The supervisor told me that galvanized was all they carried. I told him that I would go to Home Depot and get it if they would install it. The supervisor agreed and I was back with white drip edge in 45 minutes. The workers did not act upset at all to pull up the last layer of roofing and replace the drip edge they had just put down. I was impressed. The workers needed to come back the next day for 2 or 3 hours to finish the job. They were punctual and did an awesome job. By the way, I was reimbursed for the drip-edge. I would highly recommend RoofSavers.
Description of Work: RoofSavers Replaced my porch roof. The porch was approximately 1000 square feet. Two sheets of plywood needed to be replaced because of water damage. New drip edge was replaced around the area serviced. Two or three rows of shingles were removed to put in the new porch roof and were later replaced.

The contractor sent out a representative who examined the areas of the roof where leaks were present and wrote a detailed estimate of the work required and a price for the work. I agreed to the contract and a start date was established. The contractor arrived on the agreed date and time. The work took two full days with three workers and a supervisor who checked the work several times. I has rained (moderate rate) once since work was completed and no problems noted. Warantee is for two years.
Description of Work: A low pitch roof with cement tile has had several leeks. The Contractor removed sections of the cement tile roofing related to areas that had leaks. The areas cleared of tile were cleaned and the roof sheathing was replaced where rot or deterioriation was evident. The waterproof roof felt underlayment was replaced and flashing redone with lead where required. The cement tiles were then replaced. An area along a gutter line that had been leaking behind a facia board was also cleared of tile and new sheathing and an adhesive underlayment extending up the roof approximately three feet was applied and the tile replaced. A leaking skylight was also cleared of adjacent tile and new underlayment and flashing was applied and the tile replaced. The work took two full days with three workers.

We have contracted with Roofsaver's Locke Roofing three times, the most recent being this past year. Each time we have been very satisfied with the work done to correct the problem(s). The first time was similar to the most recent (meaning that a similar area failed on the other side of the house) and the work done in both cases, once the supervisor figured out how and where the water was entering our structure (this was a tricky task, actually, and additional work needed to be performed the second time to address the entire problem) and directed the crew accordingly. The additional work was also done promptly and professionally. An intermediate time the rear patio roof leaked because a tree limb had interrupted the tile alignment permitting water to seep in under the tile and through the gap in the tarpaper (again, our home's roof was barely done to code and the tar paper overlap was approx one inch). In this case, the entire ceiling of our patio suddenly crashed to the ground, soaking wet. In each case the crew came out, removed the roof tiles in the area affected, completed the work necessary including removing and replacing plywood, laying new tarpaper with a significant overlap, replaced the tiles, and totally cleaned up any debris left over so that we could not detect that they had been working at the house. In fact in this latest instance, we were out of town and the supervisor worked with the crew to our immense satisfaction. We would highly recommend this firm.
Description of Work: A section of our roof' was incorrectly installed when the house was built and over time this section failed to drain water properly. Instead, the water backed up under the roof and/or came in along a parapet and drained down into the attic and from there along the wall to the floor. Roofsaver's Locke Roofing corrected the error by repairing the roof and installing new materials where necessary.

Were on time and completed the project in one day.
Description of Work: Re-coated my flat roof with white rubberized coating. First they power cleaned the surface then scraped bubbles and loose surfaces and then rollered the rubberized coating. Would recommend them to anyone for similar work. Our house was built in 1976. It's about 2500 sq ft of roof. This was the third time the roof had been coated... we do it about every 5-6 years.

Our realtor suggested we use this company for roof repairs. He's an excellent realtor, but did not guide us in the right direction as far as roofing. The crew was hired to fix the roof at our house. That included everything that needed to be done. The crew was fast to schedule the job and get to the job site. The crew that came to work on the job was great. The guys I talked to were all very nice and they cleaned up after themselves on the site and I was happy with that aspect of the company. But that has nothing to do with quality of actual job. The job wasn't finished well or really at all. In the attic of the house there are still numerous places where you can see daylight. The shingles that were supposed to be replaced due to tree damage weren't done. My boyfriend who owns the house was unsatisfied with the job and we didn't send payment figuring they weren't complete and would be completing work on our roof. I talked to the secretary at the company and told her my boyfriend would be getting in touch with them about the contract and payment. My boyfriend arranged for the owner and one of his employees to come to the house to take a look at the work done versus the contract. Up to that point, he had never been to the job site or even knew what was supposed to be done. They were supposed to come at 2pm because I had other contractors at the house performing bids and we could not have them there at the same time. The owner and employee showed up at NOON instead and demanded that my boyfriend come outside and talk to them. I told them they were two hours early and the would have to wait since we had a scheduled time and were busy. They completely ignored me and got their ladders out anyway. They started checking out the roof on their own. When they were done, they came to the front door and let themselves into the house where I was meeting with a flooring guy. They proceeded to stand in the front room of our house until they go the attention they wanted. The owner of the company told us that if we wanted to know why there were still holes in the roof even after the work had been done by his crew, that we should "find the guy who built the house in 1905 and ask him". He was extremely rude and unwilling to explain anything other than the fact that he said they had completed the contract. And technically that may be true that they "completed" the contract. But as far as completing if correctly and making sure the holes in the roof were taken care of and the work was done right, it was an epic fail. They did however re-send the crew over to replace the shingles they said had been replaced, but clearly had not. They fixed that much anyway. But not too much else. We ended up paying them for the work they said they did...even though I'm not sure why. I was highly offended by the way the showed up. We were customers who were unsatisfied with the job that had been done and the owner came over with a "bouncer" by his side and proceeded to muscle their way into my house and interrupt the work I was doing with someone else. I would NEVER hire this company and I warn anyone else against a company who sends crews out for work and doesn't bother to make sure everything was done properly or even at all. Only positive thing I can say is that the crew that did the original job were very nice and courteous. Hopefully they can find a decent company to work for in the future.

Noticed leaks when we had heavy rains. Leaks were minor, but stained the ceiling in kitchen and living room. Had not had the roof recoated in 6 years. Went to Angie's list and check out Roofsavers. They had the largest number of comments. Read all of them and e-mailed on a Saturday. Got a response on Monday to set up an appointment for estimator to visit. Estimator arrived on time [which I had set due to meeting schedule]. Estimated work that had to be done and offered two options. Both were very reasonable. Selected the higher priced option. Got a call later that day as to scheduled time for repairs. Workmen arrived on time, went right to work and completed the job in about 4 hours. From the noise on the roof, thet were removing and replacing sealing around exhaust pipes and flashing plus repairing cracks and buckling in the roof. Cleaned up and left. I paid the bill and two days later received a copy of paid invoice and warranty good for two years. Very satisfied with their work.
Description of Work: Repaired all vent pipes, cracks in roofing, stopped leaks and resealed around skylights. Indicated that a new coating was not necessary, but some work was needed. Offered two options and I selected the more expensive option based on the value of that option. Offered two year warranty. Estimator showed up at time promised and workmen arrived on time and went right to work. Area clean when they left. Very satisfied with the company.

Their estimate included a very detailed description of what they were proposing to do with a note that we would have to have our Solar Panels covered prior to commencement of work. A phone call to the Solar Panel providers confirmed the advisability of this and we hired our handyman to complete that task. The weather did not cooperate, and the job had to be postponed a few days, but Roofsavers/Locke kept us advised of what was going on and when they would be out. The job was split into two parts: cleaning and sealing; and coating the roof with elastometric coating. Each part took a day and the crew cleaned up after itself as they went along. We are not familiar with this type of roofing, but, everything appears to be done just as it is supposed to be. Plus, we got a $80 discount for going through Angie's List. Thank you.
Description of Work: I placed an e-mail request for estimate with three companies through Angie's list 11/29/2011. Roofsavers/Locke Roofing called that afternoon and set up an appointment for the following Friday to send an inspector. The inspector showed up on time, performed the inspection and had an estimate to us that afternoon. They won the contract to clean and reseal our roof.

I travel 4 hours from out of town to help Mom with this type of business--the reason I absolutely depend on Angie's List. Roofsavers is so busy that they could not provide the flexibility I needed to come out and provide me with an estimate. The young woman taking calls in the office could only offer a 6:30 to 9:00 AM window or similar hours of waiting in the afternoon to provide us an estimator to come out. She did remind me that we did not have to be home to have an estimator go up on the roof (the reason for a "B" on professionalism); however, Mom owns a dog. We needed to be home. Because my time in town is limited to 3 days, and because Mom has at least 2-3 doctor's to see, 2-3 more substantial business items to take care of (car maintenance/repairs), we did not have the luxury of waiting for an estimator from this company. Ideally, I needed an estimator to be at the house between 7 and 8 AM, promptly, so we could hit as many office appointments beginning at 9:00 AM. I did set an early morning appt. (6:30-9:00) for Thursday, 3 November, hoping I could get all other appointments taken care of before then. When I realized that would be impossible, I called Roofsavers and asked if perhaps they could indicate to me whether somone would be at the house closer to 6:30/7:00 vs. 9:00? Or could they call me the night before-- after the crews and receptionist could get together to figure out the next day's schedule? (We had a 9:00 appt to make) But the young woman reiterated that schedules were done first thing in the morning. Hence, I canceled to be fair to both of us. I find it hard to believe that a company cannot line up the next day's work the night before. I suggested this to the young woman but clearly they have a system that seems to work for them...and others. Not for me or Mom. Hence, I rated them a "C" for their lack of flexibility or ability to re-organize their method of operation. I did find 2 other companies to work with.
Description of Work: First, this company has lots of great reports, which is why I selected them as ONE of THREE roofing businesses to provide us with an estimate for my aging mother's house: roof evaluation and maintenance job. Sadly, Roofsavers could not accommodate our schedule: read on (below).

The two-man crew arrived promptly as scheduled, stripped off the old roofing, applied the new, and cleaned up after themselves. They were polite and proffesional. They did quality work, and you couldn't tell they had been there after they left (except for a great new roof on the garage!). What more could you ask for?
Description of Work: I had damaged and patched cold bonded roll roofing on a low-sploped 20'x40' garage addition. RoofSavers stripped off the old roofing, and underlayment, and inspected the plywood roof. They replaced the underlayment tarpaper, and put hot bonded, rubberized roll roofing on top. They integrated the roofing with the adjacent steeper-sloped garage with new shingles.

I am selling my house and had to have the roof repaired before closing. They came out, gave me an estimate, and the dispatchers made sure the job was completed very quickly. This is the third time I have used Locke, each time they have been efficient and reasonable. At one time in the past, another roofer checked my roof and told me I needed a whole lot of repairs. I then called Locke/RoofSavers. They told me I did not need any of the work done that the other roofer wanted to do. They also told me why I did not need that work done.

Went very well. After the estimate was received. I asked to add in the ductwork and they gave me a very reasonable increase on the price. I had a can of coating in the garage that I told them they could use, but it was too old, so they used their own. The roofer was very flexible about that. The crews were very pleasant to deal with. They offered the best warranty and had a reasonable price as well.

[I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS TOP AREA OF THE BOX IS EMPTY AND I CAN'T EASILY MOVE THE START OF MY INFORMATION UP. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR THE BEGINNING.] I was told on the phone that this company does ''repairs only'' (ie, doesn't install a completely new roof) to an existing foam (sprayed polyurethane) roof. That was perfect (I thought) as the roof needs only a repair in a particular area. When the tech came out to give me a bid, he looked at the problem area on the roof, and said "We don't repair foam roofs." The owner came out after I called to question this contradiction; he said, "I concur." When I looked at him not quite believing my ears, he said something to the effect of, "We repair it when we can. We don't really do foam roofs." He gave me some ideas about other places to call, but I would have found them in the yellow pages anyway. This was a waste of time and energy. Several other roofers on Angie's List have so far said they don't repair foam roofs. I'd like that to be made clear in the reviews, so I don't need to call each& every one! So far, it's not what I paid to join Angie's list for. I hope to have better results in the near future! [PS: I'm having a hard time editing the information here; this isn't a user-friendly window, when i try to copy & paste what I'm saying from an email where I review it before typing it here.]

Response from Roofsavers Locke Roofing
Dear member, I'm sorry you were disappointed with our service. We always strive to provide promt and proffesional service in every instance. When you called me and described my estimator as saying "we don't work on foam roofs", I felt I needed to meet with you and see the roof myself. Fred has worked for me for several years and well knows what we work on so I was a bit surprised to hear that. He told me that he told you "we cant help you with this leak" Clearly I have a case of he-said she-said. After meeting with you myself I hoped to clarify the situation. I evaluated your roof in the area of the leak and noticed several poorly done repairs with impropper materials for the application. The area has considerable ponding water and a long history of repairs. I decided that further repairs would likely be unsuccessful and therefore a waste of your money. I am not in the habit of taking money from customers when there is no chance the repairs will work. Fred is well aware of this policy. Fred is also well aware that we work on foam roofs regularly. I never said that we don't work on foam roofs and my guess Fred did not either. Again I'm sorry that our evaluation of your roof issue disappointed you, but sadly, not all roofs can be saved. Came out to give an estimate and arranged it around my schedule. Asked a supervisor to come and double check the estimate as it was an unusual type of repair on the roof corner. Provided a very detailed written estimate. They had an opening 10 days before the originally scheduled repair date and were able to squeeze me in early. Workers showed up right on time. By the time I got home the work was done and looked great. The work area was spotless. The area they had to work in was right above some landscape foliage and a field fence so I was concerned about the potential for damage but there was none. Other than the repair work it was as if they were never there. A great experience.
Description of Work: Repaired a corner of a tiled roof appox. 10 feet high. Section to be repaired was about a 6' x 6' square. Replaced the rotted wood, repaired the water drainage flashing (correcting a previously poor installation), replaced the roof tiles.
