BARLOWS

TERRIBLE! We bought a washing machine & dryer from Home Depot. Barlow's delivered the items, but installed them wrong. They switched the hot and cold water hoses in error. Therefore, during the 1st wash my clothes were ruined! When I chose a "cold" wash, all my clothes were actually washed in "hot" water. It ruined $200 of new clothes that I just recently bought. I called Barlow's, and spoke to their manager, Gary, hoping to resolve this matter since this was an "accident". However, Gary became very rude over the phone, and laughed at me. First, they couldn't even complete a simple task correctly, and then they couldn't take ownership of their mistake. I will never hire them again.

Barlow showed up on time as promised (only positive experience). They could not remove the old dishwasher, or the new range due to the remodel at the time. The policy was they could come back withing 30 days for one service call. We talked to and notified the driver that 30 days was not enough. He called the Barlow's HQ and obtained permission to extend to 60 days. He also wrote it on our receipt. But guess what, we called back to have them come back for the promised re-visit and were told too bad that the company policy is 30 days and the drivers had no authority to extend. We called back again and re-stated the same facts and nothing. We are out of luck and told to go away. There is nothing they can do. The woman on the phone talked to some other customer un-friendly rep. Real pathetic customer service even when in breech of their contract. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Now I have to go down to Home Depot and have them get someone out to do the job right.

BARLOW DISTRIBUTING AND STORAGE WAS HIRED BY BEST HOME APPLIANCES TO PERFORM THE SERVICE FOR US AND SO WE DID NOT PAY THEM DIRECTLY, HENCE THE $0. I'M SURE THE COST WAS FACTORED INTO THE DISHWASHER SALE. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME, AND PERFORMED ALL THE TASKS REQUIRED TO REPLACE THE OLD DISHWASHER WITH THE NEW ONE. THE SPACE FOR THE DISHWASHER WAS BADLY DESIGNED AND PRESENTED SOME CHALLENGES WHICH AT FIRST FRUSTRATED THE INSTALLER, BUT AFTER WE TALKED ABOUT THE PROBLEM, HE WAS ABLE TO FIND A SOLUTION THAT WAS ACCEPTABLE. I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN, ESPECIALLY IF I HAD THE NEED TO SCRAP THE OLDER APPLIANCE.

THEY WERE ACTUALLY EARLY WITH THE DELIVERY AND CALLED AHEAD TO LET ME KNOW.
