So Bill comes to my home to see my complaint and says that I ordered the wrong thickness for that edge. I chose 3 mm thickness, and it should have been 2 mm. Bill (being the pro) should have told me and I would have chosen something else. I wish Bill would have directed me to the 2mm. So Bill says he'll "redu" the job with 2 mm for an additional $750.00. You may get better coverage painting your baseboards if you do so before carpet is installed. The best course of action may be to attempt to paint them between having the old floor removed and the new floor laid, though this will render the room unusable for a period of time and may make the entire project a bit slower overall.

Berber is a loop pile carpet known for its strength, durability, and distinct looped look. It can be made from a number of different carpet materials, including nylon and wool. However, Berber isn’t as soft as cut pile carpet, so it isn’t the best carpet for a bedroom (although it’s a good style of carpet for living rooms).

With that said, if you really like the look of Berber, you can still install it in your bedroom—it just might not be as comfortable on your feet as cut pile carpeting.
