They were flexible when we decided to pull the ac unit to repair the sheathing they worked with the revised schedule. I am an engineer and have used many contractors over the years. I would us German again in a heartbeat.

Manuel and his crew were outstanding. Everything happened exactly as they said it would. No delays. They even finished about a day earlier than I thought they would have. Each day the yard and carport area was left cleaner than they found it. It was a very stress free experience for me.

We are going back there next month, and they couldn't finish the job before we left, and they were really nice. We had paid half, and they said we can pay the other half, when we were back and had seen the job, and were happy with it. I thought that was really nice, and their prices were better. We got bids from a couple of other places, and their prices were much better. They had really great reviews on Angie's List as well, and so we went with them. It looked like they did a real nice job, and they were really neat, there was no junk all over the place, but we haven't done the final walk through yet, and it hasn't rained. Sometimes it is hard for them to call you back, they always call you back, they don't leave you hanging, but sometimes you have to wait.

My house was having leaks on a 26 year old roof. The German Roofing wasn't the absolute lowest quote I received but was close to it (after Angie's discounts and cash). Also, the price stated includes re-rolling my patio roof. Crew was really fast in the process - only 6 business days. Other than the obvious sounds for the re-roof the crew seemed not to be there. No loud talking, music etc. Crew just came in the AM and worked well into the afternoon as needed. A big plus is that German Roofing doesn't charge for plywoood and/or painting trim. Lastly, my neighbor came by my house and noticed the crew and asked about them. He remarked how quickly the crew got the job done. Would recommend.

I called German Roofing based on the reviews I read from Angie's List. It appeared that from the reviews that they weren't very responsive, but if you did finally get them out, they did a good job. I called to make an appointment. It took them 3 days to return my call. When Manuel came out to inspect what needed to get done, he diagnosed the problem without ever getting on the roof or even putting a ladder up to the roof to look at. My husband thought that was a little suspicious. Manuel gave me a ball park estimate for the work and promised to send an email with a written estimate. I had to ask three times for the written estimate before I finally got it just days before they were to come and do the work. On Saturday (a day they picked not me) when they were to come and do the work. No one showed up. No one called. I couldn't get a hold of anyone until late that night. Manuel said they'd be out the next day (Sunday) to do the work. I don't like workers coming on the Sabbath so I told them to call me on Monday and we would reschedule. The crew showed up the following Tuesday morning to do the work. Manuel was not with them to supervise. When my husband arrived home from work. He inspected the roof and discovered they had broken two roof tiles and had patched the tiles together with roofing tar right over the leaking area. They did not flash up the wall where the water runs during a heavy rainstorm and they did not cut back the roof tiles like Manuel said needed to be cut back to make a flashing channel for the water to run in. They are back again today two days later. We will see how it goes today.

We felt that they did a great job. We were very happy with the end result and their professionalism. We would definitely use them again.

I discovered leaks in my kitchen around Thanksgiving last year (2013). I contacted 5 roofing companies from Angie's list and received a total of 5 estimates. Because of the age and condition of the roof, they all recommended a complete re-roofing job. Most estimates came in around $8,000 (plus/minus $300) with the exception of Lyon's, which came in at above $9,000. My general impression of each company was positive. After carefully weighing the cost estimates, reviews by other customers on Angie's list, and any possible listing of complaints on the Registrar of Contractor's Office, I decided to go with German Roofing. Although they offered the lowest price, this was not the most important factor in terms of making my decision. German Roofing's reputation (which is invaluable in this business) was ultimately the deciding factor. They fact that the company responded to my questions either by phone or email was an added bonus. We have had rain once seen the roof was replaced. I did not spot any leaks, which bodes well for the summer and the monsoon season. I was particularly pleased with the expediency with which the work was done and the clean-up afterwards was impeccable. I was told that it would take up to 5 days to complete the work. They finished in 3 days. Truth be told, this made me worry that they may have "cut the corners," as it were. I won't know whether this concern is valid until the really heavy rain comes later this year. The one thing that I would have liked to see, quite frankly, was more communication from Manuel Garcia, the owner, during and after the work was done. I had the expectation that he would show up either at the beginning or end of the job but in fact that never happened. He did come to my house initially, however, when the original inspection and estimate was produced. At that time, I had a very favorable impression of Manuel.

Manuel came and did the estimate right there and left us with quotes in our hands. He was very thorough. The price was good. He showed us pictures which helped us to make the decision to reroof rather than repair. This company has excellent reviews. They also answered subsequent questions. We got 5 bids and German Roofing ended up in the top 2 position of our 5 bids. Their price was good.

Manuel was punctual in keeping the appointment. He spent a good amount of time up on the roof, and I could hear him moving tiles to inspect the areas of concern. When he came down, he explained what the issue was, and said I did not need a full re-roof but could just have certain areas redone. (Another company had said I had to have the whole tile portion of the roof redone.) Manuel was very knowledgeable and professional. Manuel said he would send an estimate in a couple of days. When I had not heard back a week later, I emailed the company. They sent me an estimate that day, and told me they would be out of town until the 18th, and would contact me then. Their estimate was fair. In the meantime, I decided to use another company who had been very detailed in their bid, had sent the estimate two days after coming out, and who also had very good ratings on Angies List and with the BBB. I would have used German Roofing if I had not used the other company I ultimately went with.

Yes, They were very responsive to me. They had all the information on hand and listen to what I need. I would call then again for future issue.

They repaired all of my roof. very smoothly, they even finished a head of schedule!

In a previous review, I stated how they came out the day of the torrential rain to make quick repairs to stop the leaking in the bathroom and kitchen. They provided us a quote the same day and when we didn't hear back from any other roofers, we offered them the job 2 days later. Exactly one week after their first visit, they were replacing the roof, the day after Thanksgiving. They did the work in 2 days and did a great job. Their clean up skills were impeccable. Of course, we haven't gotten a drop of rain since but know that if there are any issues, we will have a good partner.

Manuel Garcia was my interface with German Roofing and I could not ask for a better person. The crew were very experienced and did a great job. I was also pleased with the interior repairs.I would highly recommend them.

German Roofing were my 4th out of 6 bids I obtained which ranged from $16K , that's with a 20% discount from Scotts Roofing who gave me the 20% for a cosmetic fix they made instead of a true fix on my roof.. German Roofing was the lowest bid with a 10% senior discount and $500.00 coupon. This was a replacement of my roof reusing my tiles and included the patio roof, which none of the other bidders included. Unlike the others there was no extra cost for plywood or any other wood/supplies and they also gave me a 10 year no leak warranty and put in an e-mail that the roof with the materials used and workmanship should last 20-30 years. They were professional, work very hard and cleaned up after themselves at the end of everyday and when they completed the job they did a complete cleaning, blowing off the roof, and grounds; they even clean my gutters. It looks good and I have no reason to believe that it will not serve us as they have indicated. The only draw back which didn't turn out to be a problem is most, if not all the workers did not speak English well, but that seems to be par for the course here in Arizona. At any rate we all manage to get our wants and needs across. I would most certainly recommend German Roofing and want to take this time to thank Manuel and Dianna for such good work and service.

German Roofing was a lot less costly for an entire roof repair that the other companies I looked at (3 total, all rated A on Angies list). After looking into the estimate details it was clear that all of the companies used similar materials and techniques. Double underlayment, Plastic capped nails, base and cap sheet around the gutter areas etc. German provided a much more detailed estimate than the other companies. I had to do less digging. I had all of the companies quote repair vs replace. German had the best price for both. For us a replacement made more sense since our roof was in bad condition and we are not moving in the near future. German knew what they were doing-they found the existing leaks in without my prompting and had good observations and advice-based upon my reading about roofing considerations. We signed the contract and set a date to start work. They started a day after they said they could but called to notify us of this ahead of time. It took them 12 days to finish the roof instead of 5 to 7 days but they did a good job. They had a lot going on at the time. There were a few places that needed better finishing and when I pointed them out, they fixed them. They encouraged feedback and questions. I would go with them again-they are a very, very good value and easy to deal with.

Mr. Garcia arrived on a Saturday to evaluate the job. He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. His estimate was substantially less than I had anticipated. If he had been inclined to take advantage of the situation, I would have been an easy target, but he was honest and fair to a fault. His crew arrived when promised on a Monday morning and they worked (and I do mean "worked") hard throughout the day. A smaller crew was all that was necessary on Tuesday. They finished when promised. They did an excellent job on the roof work. They cleaned up the job site as if it was their own home. I hope I never have another roof problem, but if I do, there's no doubt in my mind who will be the first person I call.

We had water coming in from our roof in the master bath and kitchen. We knew the roof was not in great shape from the inspection of our home. It had rained over 1" the previous night and the areas where the roof was weak started to show. I called them at 8:30 am and they first said they couldn't come out today, however after telling him that I needed to find someone to come today, he said he would try and send one of his crews over around 11am - 12pm. At noon, I hadn't heard anything so I checked in and received a phone call back by 1pm saying they would arrive in 20 minutes. They arrived around 2pm and they sealed and tarped the areas to stop the active leaks. They gave us a quote for replacing the roof, which we will have to do quickly.

That went well. They came out in October and they estimated $50,000 for a roof replacement project on a 500 square foot home.

The service folks showed up when they said they would. They completed the work in the time frame expected. They even worked on Saturdays to accommodate the curing time of the materials used to waterproof the deck. They removed all debris and kept the mess to a minimum while they were working. I was very impressed and would use them again.

Fast and professional communication. Work was handled quickly and appropriated. I also received a list of possible additional repairs with an estimate. I declined the further repairs. I was satisfied with the work done and the responsiveness.

Straight forward walk through estimate. Diane gave written estimate and guarantee via email. 2 Workers shown up at 9:00 AM repaired our roof until 6:30 PM. They took picture of the damage roof from our camera and shown us. Clean up job were done well before they left at 6:30 PM. We have no rain yet since our roof were repaired. Professional services from a small company.

They did a great job. finished job in about a day and a half. They did the kind of job you would be proud of, I wish all contractors did that good of a job.

Manuel Garcia came and inspected roof and gave written estimate. On appointment day to do work, 2 employees arrived on time, finished in 7 hours, cleaned up old roofing and took it away. Estimate was fair price. Not the lowest or the highest. Invoice and 2 year repair guarantee sent in mail the next week. Checked for leaks in 3 summer rains. No leaks. Would do business with again and recommend to others.
