They were honest, prompt, and very attentive to everything. They did a great job!

Showed up to quote job as scheduled. Provided multiple quotes w/different levels of work. Quotes were complete and descriptive, easy to understand. Work was done on time as promised. Very happy with the work performed.

I looked up roofers in the latest Angies List magazine and found German Roofing. I called and left a msg requesting service for a leaking roof. They never returned my call!

From start to finish including a follow up by the owner, German roofing was a pleasure to deal with. I solicited estimates from 4 Angie's listed companies and German presented the most comprehensive and least cost estimate. I have a hearing disability so using the phone was not an option for me. The owner's wife communicated with me by email. She was timely in her responses to any question I had and was professional and just wonderful throughout. The actual work crews were hard working and proficient. During the day they would pick up debris as they went along and at the end of each day, they cleaned so well you wouldn't know they had worked there. I am a perfectionist and as far as I am concerned that is what I got

I can strongly recommend Manuel and his crew, they are the hardest working bunch I have seen for a long, long time. They worked 3 days pretty much dawn to dusk and then a few hours finishing up on the fourth day. I had a small worry about nails that had fallen in the pool area, and they took care of it almost before I had finished asking. Everyone working for German Roofing was polite and friendly and helpful. Yes, I would use them again without hesitation. Oh, and they did the job for the amount quoted, even though I suspect the damage was more than he figured on, and he had to replace more plywood and flashings than he estimated. That's after coming in with the best quote for the job. It was so nice, not having a contractor try and revise his estimate after he has made you a quote, This is a huge reason to use German Roofing. To conclude, I got everything I expected and more from this company and couldn't be happier.

Called the provider as an A graded provider in Angie's list. I called after the big storm and my call went to voicemail during regular business hours. I explained I had a leak in my roof tat I would like looked at. I provided my name and number and have been waiting 3 days for a return call.

I never met Manuel but did speak to his wife/office manager and we did everything via phone/email. The roofers did a great job and everything went smoothly. After they were done, there was just one small problem that needed to be fixed. I contacted the office and Manuel came over the same day and took care of the problem. Very responsive, good quality and great service. I would not hesitate to recommend German Roofing.

They started the within a week of calling them. Pickup all tiles, replaced bad ones, remove old paper and installed a new double layer of underlayment paper and reinstalled the tiles. They also had to repair my patio roof because there was some water damage due to leaks. They had to replaced rotted wood and put a new water tight surface down on the patio. They did this all in 3 days. They were there on time and did a good job. Everybody seem to be nice and worked hard . I would hire them again and would recommend them.

We had a leak in our roof and needed repairs so we called several roofers to get quotes. The owner of the company came out and inspected the roof. He gave us a price on the spot. Contrary to what I read in another review, there were no language barriers, as both he and the men that came out spoke English very well. Out of the roofers we had out, they did the most thorough inspection before giving me a price and their price was lower than the others. We set a date for them to come out and they came on the date specified. The roofers did a great job, and were respectful of our property. We found the whole experience to be excellent and would definitely recommend them to anyone. After completion they called us several days later to make sure it was okay. It was at that time they asked for payment. That shows confidence in what they are doing and shows the business is financially stable.

The roofer showed up on time as scheduled, calling me before hand so I could meet him at the location. He did a thorough job inspecting the roof and sizing up what needed to be done. He was very courteous and wrote the bid proposal up on the spot. This job could have also entailed a recoat over the flat roof area over the garage, but he mentioned that it was still in good shape and could wait a few years. I appreciated his honesty. I ultimately decided to go with another AL top rated competitors bid (who has done great roofing work for me in the past; full disclosure), as German's bid was higher, for similar work and materials. I have no doubt though, that German Roofing would do a quality roofing job based on my impression with them, if price wasn't the issue.

Our experience with this company was very good. We got 4 estimates from highly rated companies on Angie's List. While this one was not the cheapest, they offered everything that we wanted and were very responsive to my questions. They were happy to help and responded quickly, which is more than I can say for some of the other companies that I dealt with. Work started on 8/4, and took 5 full days to complete. This was longer than the 3-4 days that they had told me, but I don't have a problem with that. The crew was working in 100+ degree weather all day for 5 days straight, I'm sure that can be difficult for them. The final product looks great. We love the new patio roof. Our old patio roof was just some hard plastic sheeting that would leak every time it rained, so this was a huge improvement. They replaced the rafters, put new plywood on top, and then covered it with rolled roofing. Manuel came out to inspect the roof after it was complete, and happily answered all of my questions. One issue that I had during the roof install was with the crew that worked on our patio. Rather than using a ladder, we noticed people standing on our patio furniture. I'm not sure why they would not have used ladders instead, but they scuffed up the paint on two of our patio chairs. One other suggestion would be for the company to bring shingle samples to review. I was sent an e-mail with the different options and was told that Manuel could bring samples by if I wanted to see them in person. Fortunately some of the other companies had already left samples with us, so we were able to use those instead. Overall, we were happy with the job that was done by this company, and would likely use them again in the future.

This company is INCREDIBLE! Every person we worked with (owner, roof repair men, estimators, schedulers,etc) was a great experience. They were all very caring, attentive & professional. My house is being sold and in closing phase. German Roofing fit me into their super busy schedules amidst all the roof repairs around the valley from monsoon damage. The owner goes above and beyond taking care of his customers. The price was also lower than other companies and Manuel (owner) caught something else that needed fixed that the other companies didn't mention. No wonder this company has 180+ reviews and they are all A's. Very pleased! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Efficient, professional, high qualify, clean, beautiful new roof.

It was very easy to schedule, even though I had a narrow window of availability. The serviceman arrived exactly when we arranged and was very friendly and courteous. There were a number of irregularities on my roof from an earlier construction project and the serviceman took care of those as well as the tile replacement I had called in about. Excellent service and great price.

Very smooth process A through Z.

I called the office, but, got an answering machine a bit after 4 PM on Wednesday. I called Manuel's cell (which is listed on their page) and he said he could get out by the end of the week. I told him it was a simple fix. No leaks, just a few broken tiles. Manuel told me their minimum charge was $200 and if that was OK. I asked him if I could use the $50 off coupon from Angie's List. He said NO PROBLEM! Manuel sent me a text on Thursday asking if he could stop by on Friday morning for the fix. I told him that's great and he said he would arrive between 8 and 9. Unfortunately he didn't arrive until about 10 AM, but, better late than never! Manuel apologized for his tardiness, took a look at what needed fixing and got to it! About 30 minutes later he was done and the new tiles look great! I gave him $150 and the coupon and he was off. I'm happy with the results and would definitely work with Manuel and German Roofing again!

Estimate visit was on time and professional. I later scheduled repair, but the repair crew did not come on the day that repair was scheduled for. After calling to find out why, repair crew was rescheduled to come on the following day, and they did. Work was completed satisfactorily. There has been no rain in the month since, so I don't know if the repair was effective. Will see.

The appointment was quick and easy to set up. Manuel Garcia who was professional and give me an estimate. Once I decided to go with German Roofing, we set up a date for the job. They came back to finish the job while I was overseas. The entire time I was in touch with the office and had my daughter oversaw the project. I made sure Manuel inspected his people's work and made the company write me a confirmation letter that it had passed Manuel's inspection before paying. In addition my daughter also gave me the thumbs up. Very pleased with the service and will use them again.

Did not receive quote via email the following day. I looked and confirmed with Manuel that he had the correct email address. He said he could repair it on Thurs or Friday of the same week. We called him back after not receiving the quote and he never responded. Very disappointed. It must not be large enough of a job for him. I've never given a negative review before, but felt obligated to let others know. Unless you are going to replace your whole roof, they may not want to bother with you. UPDATE 06/24/2014: They came out and did the repair like they said they would, but one of the colors of the tile didn't match. I let them know the tile didn't match, but he came out and fixed the tile to our satisfaction. We are happy with finished product now.

German roofing was wonderful. Called the office for estimate, owner Manuel came out right on time. Explained what we needed, gave us a price and we set date for work to start. Workers were right on time and worked very efficiently. Each day they left everything was completely cleaned up as if they had not been there. The job took a couple of days longer then expected but we are very happy with results. We have had compliments from our neighbors on both the way it looks and how professionally organized it was while the job was being completed. Some paint came off our flashing but they sent workers to repaint it for us at no additional charge. Highly recommend this company...

Owner came out himself to correct some sealing and bleeding problemsby putting a sealer on the area. He then painted the back wall of the house where the bleeding occurred.

Received an oral quote as part of a site visit, it was pricey but I liked Manuel and I wanted to hire him & German Roofing. As part of the visit, German Roofing determined that the roof needed structural work as well to fix it "right", so following their advice a contractor recommended directly by German Roofing got involved. At that point the price for German Roofing's part of the job suddenly increased 18%. We went back and forth about that with German Roofing and the whole time no one called me from German Roofing to clear the matter, to talk, describe, or list why the price should increase that much. There was never a written quote to detail the costs. It took several calls to get a response, but once that happened the price was confirmed to be what it was originally (without the 18% increase). Incredibly, a few days later the contractor said that German Roofing did not agree to the price they just quoted over the phone. . I dont know who or what to believe, it would seems duplicitous and very weird that German Roofing would change the price and not provide the courtesy to call me directly after a price had already been hammered out. I would recommend anyone to get a written quote up front. Overall, the company strung me along for nearly two months and did not seem eager to get the job done, care about customer service, nor being true to their word or so it would seem. I did my best to do business with this company, but felt treated like second class, like my money and time did not matter. I really tried to do business with this company. RESPONSE TO PROVIDERS RESPONSE: . I deeply respect all professionals and deal upfront and with utmost honesty when hiring anyone to do a job no matter how big or how small. I treat others as I would have them treat me, this is part of my faith and my MO in life, which is why I am taken aback by a response claiming I would falsify a price quoted. At no point have I ever tried to do such a thing. Im pretty easy going and in fact, the general contractor recommended by German Roofing BROKE the wall stucco in the living room during his visit (a 5x5" hole with a foot-long crack that is still there today) and I never made a claim against him nor German Roofing for that. To accuse an easy-going customer like me in this manner is ludicrous. Such an accusation in fact supports the point that communication is an issue with German Roofing because had they called to sort this out, had they exercised customer service instead of letting it play out the way it has, it would not have come to this. . The fact is that German Roofing quoted orally in person a total of about $4,500 for the entire job. Later through the general contractor recommended by German Roofing itself an additional $600 was added. The new price components were: ++ $3900 -- for new rolled roofing on about 800 sq.ft, ++ $750 -- for 5 small penetration repairs, ++ $600 -- remove old shingles from a small section of the old roof (~300 sq.ft) --> New Grand Total of $5,250. <-- . The extra $600 took me over my budget and it was a last-minute change from the oral agreement of $4,500 for the same items listed above (nothing new was added). The general contractor referred to by German Roofing was contacted several times about this extra $600 until German Roofing finally called a couple of weeks later and I reminded him about the pricing agreed to during the in-person visit. After a few minutes of talking German Roofing agreed to meet half-way and settled the total cost at $4,650 ($150 more than previously agreed, not exactly half way for me, but I thought everyone was happy now and I was ready to move forward). Days later, the general contractor emails to tell me German Roofing did not agree to that. I was as confused as anyone here. How can it be that Manuel himself tells me a price on the phone, then recants the price (without the courtesy of calling me back by the way). . In a nutshell, the price agreed to (twice) was close to the same: $4,500 (then later $4,650). If they really thought there was something up, maybe a three-way call with their recommended general contractor, myself, and German Roofing would have been a good idea. Not sure why such a call did not cross their minds before jumping to a conclusion that there is something nefarious at play. . As I stated originally, the primary issue from my vantage point is lack of direct, clear, and documented communication (like written quotes and such). I admit it may have been my fault for not asking for a written quote the first nor second time, but my word is my bond, and it seemed to me so was Manuel's. During my honest and patient attempt to hire German Roofing and work through this issue they lacked the follow-through to iron out any discrepancies, concerns, or points of confusion nor to apologize for a mistake and tell me why the price had to have $600 more added (again). I had to be the one to call, leave messages, and follow up about the change in pricing. I left several messages during business hours, some weeks there wouldn't be a call back at all and when they did call back it was days later. I understand they're busy, totally cool with that, Im easy, but for German Roofing to jump immediately to a conclusion that a potential misunderstanding with customer is an attempt to give false information underscores in my opinion the existence of a fundamental lack of communication on their part, nor what it means to provide sensible customer service. .

German Roofing delivered totally professional service in every phase of the job - from Estimate to Cleanup! Manuel arrived on time and provided a competitive estimate, the crew arrived as scheduled and completed the work satisfactorily, and Dianna was on top of everything in the office, facilitated communication and promptly sent my payment receipt via email. Our experience was excellent from start to finish - I highly recommend German Roofing.

Manuel and his crew did an outstanding job. It was my sense that he did all the things (and more) that he said he would do. This included replacing broken tiles, replacing underlayment, repairing valleys and putting in some worn flashing, cleaning the roof of all debris, etc. The work took several days and the crew left the property clear of debris and clean after each work day.
