Our hot water heater is in the garage and we noticed the wooden platform it was standing on had severe water damage. There was minimal water on the platform top, but we could tell the leak had been continual for quite some time. The water heater legs were sinking into the platform and we were fearful the platform would collapse and the water heater would fall over and disconnect the attached gas line. I called Ballard Plumbing on Monday, 6/4, and they came out that afternoon to access the problem. Since the water heater was installed 7 years ago, there were several upgrades needed to bring it up to code. Ballard gave us several options, but the safest was to replace the water heater professionally and bring it up to code. I purchased the hot water heater, metal stand and pan and Ballard was to install and upgrade. Ballard provided an estimate to install and completely upgrade the water heater, including an inspection from Cabot Code Enforcement. Once the old tank and platform was removed, we saw where the water heater was split in the back and the platform was soaked all the way through and came apart with no effort. Ballard was prompt, very professional and explained everything he had done. We will use him for future plumbing services.

I feel that Ballard did a sensible job and I also feel that they are remarkably cheap. I am very impressed with their work that I had them come back to do some drain cleaning when my other plumber was not available. I will say that they did an A-1 job and I was pleased that they provided me with an immediate response when I needed them. When they were running this line, they were very careful not to destroy the tile so they actually impressed me by cutting through a closet and not causing any damage at all. I was really impressed with their know how ".
