"Donnie arrived in a timely manner. He and his partner got straight to the problem. It was a really bad clog so it had to be snaked out. An old pipe was causing a leak and had to be replaced. All work was done clean and efficiently. I was also given suggestions on how to prevent the clog from happening in the future. Very satisfied with work. I highly recommend and would use again."

"The plumber was professional & tried hard to resolve my problem but was unable to complete the job for me. However, he was able to resolve my mom's clogged drain. It was a bit expensive for no resolution for me because I still have to pay someone else to fix my problem. I appreciated that the company did give me a discount for the referral to my mom. I would recommend them."

"Picked this company based off of their reviews and I was not disappointed. As a single mother with 2 kids, it's very hard to find someone locally I can trust. Will be using Kris and his company again in the very near future!"

"I bought an older home, out dated. The pipes were cpvc, some were cracked and leaking, the faucets were also old and had issues with leaks/dripping. Proline came out and made a very reasonable price to replace all the water lines with new PEX and they replaced all of my faucets with ones I had picked out. They were quick, friendly, and when they left there was no trash anywhere, they left my home very clean. This is a great professional company, I highly recommend."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The most common cause of a clogged sump pump is natural debris buildup. As water enters the sump pit, it can carry small pieces of debris that build up over time, or the debris can get caught in the filter. If you forget to cover the pit after cleaning the sump pump and pit, debris can also collect in the pit. Corrosion on the metal discharge pipe can also clog the pump. Additionally, if your pipes freeze, it can prevent water from draining properly and cause a clog.

No. You should never pour old paint down a drain or sewer because it can clog pipes and pollute the environment. You must dispose of paint properly and safely. Different types of paint need to be disposed of in different ways—oil-based paints must be taken to a paint recycling center, while you can throw dried-out water- or latex-based paints in the garbage.

In some cases, operating a snake can damage your drain and pipes. This depends on the overall condition of your pipes and how gently you operate the auger. For instance, older galvanized pipes covered in zinc are susceptible to scratches when using a drain snake. Additionally, it’s common for newbies to apply too much force when extending the snake, leading to scratches and related damage. You can also crack the porcelain with an electric auger if you’re snaking a toilet drain. If you’re using a manual snake or auger, the risk is minimal.

Start by pouring hot—but not boiling—water down the drain. The heat of the water may be enough to break down the clog. You can also try ½ cup of dish soap or 1 cup each of white vinegar and baking soda. If you choose a chemical unclogging product, ensure it’s appropriate for toilets to avoid damage.

In the majority of cases, homeowners insurance will not cover a main sewer line root clog. The reason is that most insurance companies consider tree root damage to sewer lines as common wear and tear, which is also preventable. However, you may be able to buy optional add-on coverage, such as "service line coverage" or "sewer line endorsements," that would protect against root damage to your sewer line.
