"Ashley did an amazing job!! We were moving into a new rental that had not been cleaned prior to move in and she was able to get us in super quick. She helped make us aware of things that we hadn’t even noticed too, such as some splits and gaps with a couple baseboards. There had been a slightly musty smell due to the house being unoccupied prior and being able to walk into the house to find that it was completely gone was such a relief. We will absolutely be hiring Ashley again!!"

Blind Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, it’s possible to clean your blinds without taking them down. Many professional blind cleaners have the tools and equipment needed to clean blinds either in place or to take them down and clean them. Often, the tools include vacuum cleaners, microfiber cloth, and gentle cleaning solutions, depending on the type of blind and the amount of cleaning required.

In general, shades and blinds are the most common window coverings used today because they create unobtrusive, sleek profiles that fit into any space. In addition, blinds and shades are extremely easy to use. Most operate using either a pull system or wand. While most blinds and shades sold by retailers are available in a wide range of sizes that are made to fit standard windows, customers can also order custom shades and blinds for windows that are hard to fit.

Window treatments fall under the categories of hard, soft, and layered. Hard refers to stiff, formed treatments that include window blinds and shutters. Soft refers to cloth window treatments that include drapes and curtains. Finally, layered refers to the combination of soft and hard treatments. For example, you might place flowing drapes over blinds to combine the practicality of a treatment that blocks the sun with the whimsical and elongating aesthetic of a full-window drape.

Depending on your existing cleaning supplies, cellular shades can be more difficult to clean. Their material is more delicate and cannot get wet, meaning you’ll need to rely on vacuums, compressed air, and hair dryers to get the shades clean. This could mean extra strain on your back and shoulders compared to cleaning other parts of your home.

Yes, they can reduce heat exchange by providing an extra layer between glass and interior. Choosing energy-efficient options can lower heating and cooling costs.
