"Technician arrived on time, practiced appropriate PPE and social distancing. Area rugs and upholstery were cleaned. The area rugs were quite damp afterwards and they needed additional drying time. Other than that.. fine job. Will use again."

"Yes, my project did get done. She was very nice very sweet. Did everything that was asked of her and more did something that she went above and beyond and I felt so grateful to have her here so grateful to have her respond and come help me and I loved everything about her work. I love everything about her personality. She is the best and I will be using her services again because she was totally awesome. The best cleaner I ever had and this was my first experience and I’m not going with anybody else, but her five stars everybody everybody use simply wise cleaning as your preferred company, but leave some days open for me. Carpet Cleaning FAQs, answered by experts

Many household items neutralize the smell of urine, including fabric sprays and baking soda, a great odor absorber. Or try combining baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to cut through the smell. If these items don’t work to completely remove the smell of pet urine, try an enzymatic cleaner, which works to break down organic matter such as urine, and is readily available at most pet stores.

There are many benefits to hiring a professional floor cleaner. First, these flooring pros know the right chemicals for your flooring type, which is essential for its longevity. Likewise, they have the proper deep-cleaning equipment, which is often more complex than a mop or broom. Not only that, but deep cleaning your floors can be a time-consuming process, and by hiring a professional, you can spend that time on other home improvement projects.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

To effectively clean fine dust after construction, start by dusting high surfaces like ceiling fans, walls, and window sills, allowing the dust to settle. Then, use a vacuum with a HEPA filter on all surfaces, including furniture, carpets, and floors, making a second pass for thoroughness. Follow up by mopping hard surfaces with a damp mop to capture any lingering particles. It's also important to clean appliances, vacuum HVAC returns and supply vents, and replace the air filters. Properly ventilate the home to help clear out remaining dust, and avoid sweeping, which can spread the dust around.

The cost for professional carpet cleaning is $180 for the average homeowner. However, you could end up paying as low as $80 or as high as $375 or more, depending on how much carpeting you have in your home and the type of cleaning you’ll have done, plus any add-ons like furniture and upholstery cleaning. For example, bonnet carpet cleaning averages around $150 since it’s more surface-level. However, due to its complexity, hot water extraction cleaning averages closer to $400.
