"The man I talked to was very professional and timely. However, he explained that this particular job was beyond the scope of what their company does. I would certainly use them on another 'issue'.

"Cordell was very pleasant and knowledgeable about his products. My purchase generated from a "Daily Deal." he came to do the measuring and advise potential installation date and time frame. To enable me to have the eight windows done, it did exceed the cost of the big deal. But for what I received it was a worthwhile transaction.
Cordell is polite, professional and worked to fit me into an already full schedule.
He even was able to arrive earlier than anticipated for the installation and called to ask if that was acceptable. He worked quickly, efficiently and cleaned up the areas when the work was completed.
I already am planning to have Cordell do some additional window treatments. I would highly recommend him and his services to any potential customer.

"We are on our second project together. First project was small - very well done. In our current project together, they are making some furniture pieces for me - the work is currently in progress, so far the nightstands look great!

Upholstering questions, answered by experts

The process usually takes 1-2 weeks, and it is highly influenced by the materials, complexity of the project, and any customization desired.

To safeguard your furniture and upholstered items, it's best to use plastic wrap or specially-made plastic sofa covers. However, you should avoid wrapping wooden furniture in plastic if you plan on storing it, as plastic can trap moisture and warp the wood, plus it may damage certain finishes. In either case, old blankets or moving blankets make excellent alternatives. For protecting delicate glass table tops and mirrors, bubble wrap is always a reliable choice.

Although it’s not standard, many upholstery professionals offer warranties on their workmanship, typically ranging from six months to several years. However, most warranties don't cover normal wear and tear, damage from spills and other accidents, or problems with the original furniture frame. Before starting your project, be sure to ask about warranty terms, what is covered, and any exclusions.

Ongoing maintenance of your leather furniture is the only way to prevent it from peeling and cracking. Real leather will peel and crack as it dries out. Leather conditioners are a great way to protect your leather furniture from drying out, and you’ll need to apply it about twice each year. It’s also a good idea to keep abrasive materials away from your leather to prevent cracking and peeling, including belt buckles, shoes, and multi-surface cleaners, especially those that contain alcohol.

It is possible to reupholster directly over old material in some cases, and it can save you a bit of money. If you are going to go this route, make sure you use a darker color than you had previously. Otherwise, you might see the old fabric beneath the new material. You should also keep in mind that reupholstering over old material is only possible with certain materials. For example, reupholstering over leather usually isn’t possible. You can ask your professional to see if this is an option for your piece.
