- LILLIAN STRICKLER LIGHTING & LAMPSThis retail lighting store has, in the past, worked on my chandelier and lighting fixtures. I had an appointment for 1:00 on March 3rd. The service person, named Tobin, was the person who made the appointment, quoted an exhorbitant quote of $100 per hour with a three hour minimum. He arrived at the house 16 minutes early, proceeded to leave a rude message on my cell phone as to " Where are you?" and proceeded to leave before I returned the call at 12:53 and was not present at the appointed hour of 1:00 when I arrived on time at my home. I made three phone calls and texted him and the store to try to arrange for him to return. I, today, 3/20, went to the store to try to arrange another appointment to only be treated extremely rudely in front of other customers and a staff member. I was told that there would be no return visit, as he did not give people second chances! $300 per hour, he failed to be at my home for his appointment, and was extremely rude when I tried to go the extra mile to re-schedule. This is not a store that cares about it's customers!! My circle of friends and family are in the design business. Never will this store be used in that business again

Figured I may have made a grave error in judgement! Called back and got the same customer service rep (Tonia), I had spoken to on Friday night. She was very apologetic, got the dispatcher to check, and the plumbers had been held up on an earler job and forgotten to call in to alert them. I get a $50 Home Depot card for being polite, but firm about needing to let the customer know. By the way, the plumbing contractor for Home Depot is Olshan. <br /> I get a call around 11 AM. The plumbers are picking up my water heater at the Home Depot. They arrive about 15 minutes later. <br /> I am impressed! This is a two man crew! As one starts the paperwork, the other starts the <br /> tear down and draining of the old tank. All in all, Mike and Kerry are clean, friendly, and efficient. In and out in under and hour. Way better than my neighbor across the street did with a nationally known plumbing company that was at his house for over 4 hours doing the exact same repair and charging him an arm and leg more than I paid!!! <br /> Very pleased the Home Depot came through with another great product and a great contractor (Olshan Plumbing) to do the install all at a price that beat the competition hands down.
