They came out and did an estimate (which I found quite reasonable), and got us on their schedule really quickly, especially considering all of the delays and backlogs in the construction/ home improvement industry right now. The crew that came to our house were very professional and worked quickly. They were also really responsive when we made a few changes to colors, etc. during the painting process.   I wanted a company that could do a lot of different things. Helping Hand was the perfect choice. I had wood flooring put in my bedroom and a tile backsplash in my kitchen. I had a hole in my kitchen ceiling patched and the front of my house painted. He worked around my schedule, always called and showed up when he said he would and did fabulous work.   Jeff did a fantastic job of refinishing our hardwood floors including living, dining and hallway areas (approx. 400 sf). We called Jeff and he was very responsive in getting back to us and then coming out to give us an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable and included removal of all carpet and pad, sanding and refinishing all floors, repairing any problem areas including patch of an old floor furnace. Price did not include installation of base shoe quarter round if needed. We accepted Jeff's bid and he was out to our house working the following Monday morning. They showed up right on time at 8AM and had the carpet pulled by noon and were already starting to sand. There did not turn out to be any problem areas to repair and they had finished sanding and ready to refinish the floor by Wednesday. We were out of the house Wednesday and Thursday and back in on Friday. Jeff put down all moldings, stained and installed the base shoe and made the entire floor look great. We couldn't imagine anyone doing a better and faster job on our floors. His estimate was spot on. We are very happy with all the work Jeff and his crew did. Jeff only charged us his materials cost for the quarter round base shoe molding even though he had stained and installed it himself. We couldn't be happier. We will be calling Jeff in the near future to refinish the hardwood in our bedroomsshow more

  I could not be happier with my Metro Flooring experience. After deciding we had to replace the kitchen floors, I consulted Angie's List and found that Metro Flooring had excellent reviews. With the exception of the installation, I worked with Steve Vandrilla at all times. He was excellent - very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. I visited the store and met with Steve. I told him what we had currently and what we were interested in doing. He came out the next day and brought samples for me to view. No pressure for a purchase whatsoever but just extremely knowledgeable. I decided on a product and he provided me with a quote on the spot. He called later that day to let me know that when he entered the dimensions into the computer, the price was actually lower. I really could not make up my mind as to When to make the purchase and Steve was fine with that. Again, he wanted to help and work within my timeline without any pressure. I finally decided the time was right to make the purchase (we wanted to pay all up front though that was not necessarily Metro's policy - just something my husband and I wanted to do). I paid for the flooring and Steve ordered it. Very nice Shaw pre-engineered hardwood flooring. Very beautiful. The product shipped immediately and Steve told me just to let him know when it would be convenient to have it installed because we had several animals to work around. I called Steve and gave him a date that would work for me and he sent a crew out on the very day requested. They were prompt and professional and actually removed the old floor and installed the new floor all in one day! There was one problem with the space between our travertine and the new flooring and this issue needed to be addressed. I should mention that the problem was created by the installation crew of the travertine purchased from another store. I had waited 2 years for a fix of that issue from the travertine installer but Steve came out that afternoon, determined what would work and ordered the appropriate piece. It came in the next day and Metro sent an installer out that afternoon. The entire experience was extremely pleasurable. I feel that we received our money's worth both in terms of service and product. Should you decide to use Metro Flooring, I suggest you ask for Steve but given the reviews of other Angie's List participants, you will probably receive the same excellent serviceshow more

  The two partners, Karen and Mel are great to work with on projects. They have done numerous projects at our home including floor tile, wood floor install, granite countertops and painting. Their design / build process is great. If they run into an issue, they call right away and explain the problem and how they can fix it. The bathroom project went easy and I can tell you that for the first 17 days, week days, someone, a tradesman was at the house working on the project. We had to wait one week for glass, but other than that, it was seemless and the quality of their work was excellent. I can tell you that if you would use these folks, you will be very happyshow more
