"Eduardo arrived right on time. He was polite and very professional. He also completed the job in a reasonable amount of time. The end result looked so good, we decided to have him look at other windows that we might want tinted before next summer. Incidentally, the film used was 3M with a five year warranty. We discussed film with a lifetime warranty, but it didn't make sense for a garage. However, for the main part of the house, a lifetime warranty, provided directly from 3M, sounds like a good idea.

"In the beginning, the company responded promptly to my initial phone call requesting a quote to replace all windows in my home. Unfortunately, I then received contradictory requests from the company. First, the receptionist told me that they could provide a quote if I would send photos and dimensions of all windows. This surprised me since I expected them to need to inspect the job before quoting. But as requested, I provided photos and dimensions that same day. Then I received an email from a company VP stating that they were excited about the job but that he had many questions and would need to inspect. I agreed since that was my initial expectation. So we scheduled an onsite inspection. (It should be noted that, during the next few weeks, I tried to contact that VP on several occasions but could never get a return call or email). After the inspection, I was told that the quote would be completed within a few days. This is where the process deteriorated. From the beginning, I asked that the quote be prepared listing each window with corresponding price and specs to ensure that all windows being quoted were consistent with my request to replace all windows. When the quote was finally provided (late), it was presented as a lump sum with no cost itemization by window and the total cost was much higher than an initial indication by the person who inspected my home. When I discussed the quote with one of the office personnel, she was unable to answer basic questions about the apparent double counting of labor cost and she promised to email a revised quote to me within 1 day. After waiting nearly 2 weeks for that revised quote, which I never received, I called the company asking to speak with the VP who had initially emailed me. But I was told that he was unavailable and that I would receive a call back, soon. That never happened. Unfortunately, the positive impression that I had from my initial contact with LA Glass eroded over the nearly month-long process which included contradictory requests, inability to honor company commitments for feedback, high cost estimate, and inability to communicate with the VP whose initial email indicated his excitement about the job.

"The Product Specialist, Jim L., showed up on time and with a smile. We immediately got down to business discussing our needs and what services and products California Deluxe Windows provides. I had no idea there would be a two hour presentation on windows and the technology behind it. With that said, I learned a lot in general and felt like I got the right amount of information to relay to my spouse, who could not be present, so we could both make the right choice for window installation in our home. Side note: I get why some companies would want both decision makers to be present but sometimes it's just not possible. With that said, we're also savvy to sales and marketing techniques. Considering we were simply looking for a quote and not a pitch we never felt obligated to make a decision on the spot with any rep from any company we saw. We like to take our time and the rep MUST respect that. Ultimately we chose another company based on our design and construction needs but would definitely consider CDW for referrals. "Excellent work. Richard really saved me. I had my windows replaced and to do so, the shutters had to be removed. I had called 6 shutter places and all said they would not or could not remove the shutters and re-install them. Thank goodness I called The Blind Spot. Richard said he could do it. In fact the frames had to be cut down to fit the new windows but they did the work beautifully. And it saved me so much money. When I need any window treatments from now on, I will definitely call The Blind Spot.
