  I contacted Wilson Brothers Landscaping for help with two problems: (1) I had a bad erosion problem on the side of my house because water from the backyard would rush down the side and wash away so much soil that roots from the trees were exposed; and (2) I wanted to improve the landscaping in the front of the house to create some curb appeal while making it “senior friendly” and easier to maintain. Keith Carpenter visited my property twice to answer all of my questions and advise what could be done. I was very impressed with his knowledge and the proposal that he gave me. The erosion problem was solved by installing a drain box and 4” corrugated pipe that collects the runoff in my backyard and takes it through a dry creek bed that they installed that now connects my backyard to my front. My property front was improved by taking out all of the old, high maintenance plants and replacing them with lower maintenance and colorful new shrubs that look great with the front of my house; new sod was installed to reduce the size of the island and fill in where it had been neglected; and pine straw to finish everything off. Keith and his crew worked **** ** the project for nearly a week and as I watched them picking and placing all of those heavy rocks by hand for the dry creek bed, I was grateful that Wilson Brothers had the right people on the job.   Brian clearly loves what he does. It is rare to encounter something who has a true passion for what they do and Brian definitely has it. As we walked through the yard I could tell he was envisioning exactly what would work based on water needs, sunlight, shade and my clear lack of interest in caring for high maintenance plants :). He provided advice on steps I can take to better care for some existing plants. I would feel comfortable calling Brian at any time to ask advice on a problem at my house and would trust his advice or any other expert to whom he might defer. I have before and after pictures that will be more impressive in the spring and I do intend to share those with friends because the difference will be startling!   JC had his crew here on time day off. There crew leader Valentino was positive. ready to work. and I believe if asked would relocate Stone Mountain if asked. His attitude filtered down to his entire crew. We are always cautious when spending dollars, but are completely satisfied with the work done and the crew, including JC the estimator that Wilson Bros. Landscape provided. You get what you pay for but in this case I feel my wife and I got more than we paid for.   I solicited his (Brian Wilson) suggestions on designing replacement landscaping across the front of my garage and across the front of my house. He shared his recommendations and listened to my feedback making appropriate changes. His team did the work. Initially I was stunned to go from mature bushes to 'baby' plantings and groundcover. I refrained from submitting this review back in March because I wanted time for the plants to take on some size and I needed to know Wilson's response should I have questions or concerns. It is now late September and I am pleased with the landscaping. Also 3 of my groundcover plants died back in June and Wilson replaced them as promised in their warranty (though it took repeated contact) and they agreed this week to replace another plant that died. So I am also pleased with their willingness to stand by their work. Yes, I will probably use them again next year when I landscape my backyard (but I will consider paying extra for more mature plants) and yes, I do recommend them to you. I do not know if the cost of the work was a great price or if it was way pricey because this was my first time hiring out landscaping. I did not get other estimates because Wilson came recommended to me by my neighbor who is a retired master gardenershow more

  Older house that had a severely neglected backyard. Well overgrown trees, bushes, weeds, etc. Our grass was none existent and patchy at best. Plus, we had a major water run off issue which causes us to have mud flowing strongly down the center of our yard when it rained. Brad drew us up a full plan that would take the water run off into an area that would be a Dry Creek Bed that would take the water away from the house; make a very nice looking and unique rock feature in the backyard and clean out all the old bushes and trim back all the overgrowth. Plus, he would install a significant amount of new Trees, Bushes and Flowered Plants and install a new yard of sod. Plus and new sprinkler system. His team went right to work, even as the rain came down in buckets they kept working. After one day the yard already had a major transformation and by Day 3 you could see the vision in place. The work was done on time; on budget and looks absolutely amazing. You would never guess what we had could look as good as what we have.   We have used Straw and Stuff for pine straw delivery and installation for almost 20 years. They do a great job. They show up on time and are priced reasonably. There are two companies that work from this location. The second company is a landscape company. They do large and small jobs.   We were renting the house out in Matamoras. We had to keep it up, so we hired Jeff to maintain the landscape for us. I have him regularly coming in every few weeks. He is very good. The price for all his plants is very good. He has to do the planting and everything. I had him do a lot of landscaping. He put a very nice landscape together for us. He maintained everything very well over the years. When we moved he just took care of all landscaping. Made sure everything was kept up and if he ever had issues or questions he would call me and we would take care of it. He was proactive and very reliableshow more
