As a California native living in a Minnesota world, Amber has learned the hard way what plants will actually survive the winter. She is an editor and writer with publications such as Red Tricycle, The Bold Italic, and her own blog about strange plants, Rotten Botany. She enjoys cultivating rare and medicinal plants, obsessing over her pumpkin plants, and eyeing the lot next store for rogue gardening. She lives near a lake with her son, husband, one dog, and two dueling cats.
