Homeowners are starting home projects in a new way: by asking AI for a helping hand.

Angi, a leading digital home services marketplace, recently announced a new app within ChatGPT that allows homeowners to go from asking a home improvement question to connecting with a skilled local pro on Angi.

Whether someone is wondering how much it costs to replace a water heater or what to expect during a bathroom remodel, they can now start in ChatGPT and seamlessly take the next step toward hiring a pro for their project.

“Homeowners are starting projects differently. Instead of searching multiple websites, many now begin by asking an AI assistant what to do and what it may cost,” said Angie Hicks, co-founder of Angi. “Having our app in ChatGPT turns those conversations from recommendations into real-world action—helping homeowners understand their project, set expectations, and connect with the right skilled pro. By pairing AI guidance with Angi’s trusted network and 30 years of home services experience, we’re simplifying how people find and hire pros so more home projects get done well.”

The new app builds on Angi’s broader investment in AI. In June 2025, the company launched AI Helper to make it easier for homeowners to plan projects and hire the right pro with confidence. And it’s working. Recent data shows that AI Helper guided homeowners from planning to action: users are three times more likely to request a quote from a skilled pro compared to traditional browsing. Those who start a project with AI guidance are also 25% more likely to report a successful project completion.

By bringing Angi directly into ChatGPT, the company is meeting homeowners where they already are. Instead of toggling between advice articles, search results, and multiple websites, users can ask questions, get information on costs and timelines, and connect with a pro. The experience continues to guide homeowners through scoping their project and setting expectations upfront, helping reduce mismatches and making it easier for pros to deliver great work.

As AI becomes a starting point for everyday decisions, Angi sees an opportunity to remove friction from one of the most stressful parts of owning a home: getting projects done right.

The Angi app is now available to ChatGPT users. To connect with Angi in ChatGPT, users can select “Apps” from the sidebar and search for Angi. Once connected, users can start asking questions about your home project needs.
