My wife and I were looking for a brand new sofa. I was referred to a company " Decorative Spaces " and the owner was Freda Rusnick she would help us getting started by visiting diff stores after coming to our house she referred us to at sofas etc. and she referred us to Barbara Clark the consultant. Barbara asked us many questions and spend time with us giving different types of sofas and individual gliding chairs for the living room. the experienced with Barbara was positive , understanding and very patient and professional. When we were ready to buy , Barbara asked us to bring our designer Freda to help coordinate the colors and lighting and space of the couch. It was pleasure to received our couch and we were very happy with our purchased

The upholstering work is top notch! The stool is very solid and nice. The pillows are beautiful. There were some issues but we are happy with the work in the end. A true mark of any business is how they take care of the issues and here is where they excelled. The chair and pillows were delivered a week late (no call that it would not be on time). The stool, which had to be custom made was much later than that (was promised the same time as the chair). There was a problem with the stool. I am not sure where the measurements for the stool height were obtained (though I admit it was signed off on) but the stool was several inches higher than the chair seat. I am surprised someone did not notice when they had the chair and before making the stool but it was not desirable when it was delivered. However, they totally reworked the stool to make it the right height. This required reconfiguring the stool and then taking the feet off later. The stool is solid and looks great with the chair. Fixing the stool, which had been signed off on, was done at their expense to make my mother happy. The markdown on professionalism is because they were not very communicative (my mom had to call them almost every time to find out about missed deliveries).

I never have any issues with Hardwood ARtisans. From the design, to the measurements, to the workers, to the delivery, they are just outstanding. The way they treat the furniture is wonderful. They are very professional. They don't bump into things and are very careful with all of the furniture. They can easily refinish furniture and it is as beautiful as it was before.

Given the excellent rating Art Woodstone Studio received on Angie's List, I contacted Tea for a quote. She and her partner came to the house and reviewed what I was looking for, took ample measurements, dialogued on possible variations (eg - wood, stain, etc), and took into consideration the style of my existing furniture. They were both incredibly gracious, thoughtful, and patient. I had to be minimally flexible on what I wanted as both Tea and her partner were insistent that they could deliver high quality, custom wood furniture that looks like it came from an exclusive retail outlet. Several days later, they provided a quote that was a bit higher than a competing quote. However, they were willing in this case to match the price. I went with my gut and chose Art Woodstone Studio. A number of weeks later, they delivered the new furniture and I couldn't be more pleased. The two corner tables in the dining room are absolutely perfect in presentation, quality, and color/stain. Both tables feel and appear to be well built, though I look forward to testing that out over time. The third and final corner table behind the couch was equally perfect though more spartan and simple by design. I am very pleased with the work that they did and would recommend them to all. In fact, I may have them bid on a couple more pieces I intend to have made. I hope they're bid comes in low/reasonable, as I'd like to use them again!

I contacted the manufacturer to see if I could still buy a leaf, but unfortunately, the table style had been discontinued. I contacted Art Woodstone Studio after visiting their website and reading all their amazing reviews on Angie's List. I knew immediately after meeting Tea and George that if anyone would be able to make make another leaf for my table, they would! Tea and George were so wonderful to work with. They are true artists! George duplicated my existing leaf right down to the stain color. It looks so good, I can't tell the difference between the original table leaf and the new one. I am so pleased with my new table leaf and can't wait to host my next dinner party because now I will have tons of room at my table. THANK YOU Tea and George!

I have worked with this company on several projects over the past year or two. Shlomo is pleasant to deal with, smart, creative and unfailingly honest and accommodating. He has beautiful taste and takes old-fashioned personal pride in satisfying his clients. He has created cabinetry for our finished basement and master bedroom. He also designed and built the most beautiful furniture for us - bedside tables and a kitchen table. In each case, he has turned my vague concepts into magnificent one-of-a-kind works of art. There are many "custom cabinetry" shops that carry lines of cabinetry that they will combine to fit into your space and needs. As It Should Be is in a different class - this company designs and builds commissioned pieces from scratch. Before finding As It Should Be, I thought that this type of work would be beyond my budget. To the contrary, I have found the prices to be comparable to - and in some cases less expensive than - good furniture lines and other less-custom custom cabinetry that I've purchased. Both the quality of work and the experience of dealing with Shlomo are unique in today's world. If you need cabinetry or a special piece of furniture, treat yourself to a meeting with Shlomo.

They were very professional, creative and patient (design changes requested) throughout the process. The table is quite beautiful and I am very pleased. In fact I will be working with them to design dining chairs to match the table. There is no comparison to creating furniture that is specific to your taste and design sensibility, therefore, I highly recommend these fine artists to you. Bravo, Tea and George! You?re the best.

From start to finish, the process with Pascal was a wonderful experience. For years, I was very apprehensive about having our family piano converted into something more practical while preserving its beauty and sentimental value. It was part of our family for over 100 years. However, after reading some of Pascal’s testimonials, I knew he was perfect for the challenge. He was able to encapsulate the true essence of the piano by converting it into a lighted cabinet-curio. (I call it the piano curio.) He also transformed the stool into a beautiful storage/table by using some of the wood carvings from the piano. I appreciated how Pascal would regularly give me updates on his progress. I never once had to ask how things were going. Pascal is truly remarkable and he’s very passionate about his work. I look forward to our next project.

Tom and Harland were exceptional to work with. The quality of their custom workmanship and follow up is unparalleled. They truly care about the customer’s happiness and take enormous pride in their work. I have used Custom Millwork Design Group on several pieces of custom furniture (bar, credenza(s), desk). These items were not run of the mill as they were complex designs that used exotic woods and materials. The finished products are amazing, delivered on time and priced well. After items were delivered and I needed some modifications or follow up they were always quick and happy to assist. They are pro’s and it shows! If you are looking for true custom wood work for furniture and you are interested in quality look no further.

I purchased furniture and a mirror from this interior designer- when it was delivered it was very clear she over charged and increased the price of the pieces way beyond what the quality was. The color was not correct and the swivel of the chair dragged. Ms. Redmond was not professional

Intial contact and help with selecting out chairs/stools was good. However, our order too much longer that anticipated and follow up contact with the owner was horiible. For example, owner was hostile when questioned about when order would be ready and repeatedly told us that he would "call the next day" with order information and repeatedly did not.

Their liable time was not what I wanted. Once they got here it was fine but they didn't show up when they were supposed to. I remember it being a fair price. They were good. Overall, it was a great experience.

It went very well. It was very high quality furniture. We are very pleased. Their business model is such tht most of it has to be ordered from overseaes so it takes a while to get it but it is well worth the wait. We bought a beautiful leather sofa, accessories for the living room. They are stunning pieces and extremely stylish, high quality comfortable well made furniture. We purchased for living room, dining room. The pieces are very attractive just high quality. These things are not going to be falling apart any time soon. The service was excellent. They had to come back out to set up things tht were set up perfectly. They sent someone right out and the follow-up service was excellent even after the delivery. We are very pleased

Shlomo worked with me to design custom furniture for our new bedroom. This is the second project that As It Should be Cabinetry has done for us. The workmanship is exceptional. They go the extra mile to make sure you are 100% satisfied.

Tea & George, are wonderful artists and crafts people. They are able to design custom furniture, built in and individual pieces that incorporate client desires and constraints with an artist's skilled. The result is breathtaking functional beauty.

They looked at damages, discussed costs, gave a time estimate, followed up with CAD drawings and finished the work on time. They picked up & delivered.

Dinettes has an extensive showroom of tables, chairs and stools. Steve seems very knowledgable about all aspects of furniture manufacture. However... As noted above, delivery was WAY beyond projection. Worse, every time we contacted Steve about status, he came up with another excuse, indicated that completion was iminent (within a week or so), and that he would call us. However, he NEVER called us back. This cycle must have repeated itself 8 times - we would call about status, he'd have to check and call us back, never did, when we called back he had some excuse, promising delivery next week. Two weeks later we'd call back, he'd have to check, etc. This went on from July to November. Bottom line - you can get good quality furniture at a reasonable price. BUT, be prepared for a very extended delivery, way beyond any up-front projection, with no confidence in any updated estimate. And, be prepared to deal with the frustration of continued "put-offs" and lack of response, which I consider a total lack of professionalism.

They did beautiful work, it was fun working with them, and they really take pride in their creations. They were responsive and completed both jobs in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend As it Should Be to anyone who wants custom furniture and very good prices.

The Customer service Manager at the store in Rockville was helpful. The warehouse Manager was too. The sales person could have cared less of my problems. Overall ordered on 12/27/09 final 06/04/10. This was the worse experience I ever had with a furniture store.
