"Customer leakage is currently coming from her skylights, not her roof. At the time of the roof replacement, we had recommended to her husband/boyfriend (who was home at the time) that the skylights be removed or replaced. He declined. Skylight seals can fail over time and these skylights were old. We did not install new skylights, so we told her we would not guarantee that her skylights would not leak. Now she is blaming us for work we did not do. The roof is guaranteed and we honor that guarantee, however, we were unable to offer a skylight warranty, as they were not replaced at the time of her roof replacement."
