BROWN AND SONS CONSTRUCTION/ED BROWN, CONTRACTOR

Description of Work: The contractor essentially cut corners at every possible point--it is a steel roof that has cut and overlapped sheets, there was no felt laid in numerous places, the Denver gable and other trim was cut and pieced (the materials were factory cut to correct lengths, so no length cuts should have been made at all....), the roof leaked when installed, and continues to leak, and the contractor has made only minimal repairs and only then when the city building inspector refused him an occupancy certificate on another house he was building for private sale. The company's employees were rude and filthy -- materials were dropped anywhere and simply left, empty food and drink containers were left on the roof and in the gardens, tools (including mine which they borrowed) were left out in the rain, you name it. And to add insult to injury, on the third day of the project, the two teen-agers working left the house (wide open) when we had a flash rain storm, and, with no felt or tarps on the roof, all my ceilings and wood floors were damaged!
