We specialize in custom metal work including; gates, handrails, metal fencing, and custom bumpers. We also do welding repairs. Not only do we do custom welding, we are very meticulous and picky when it comes to detail. We have been in this business for well over 10 years and I have personally been doing this type of work for 20 years.

"Welding of 12 1” metal brackets to side of barrel mail box support. Welding of two leg table to barrel. Welding of structural 1” square tubbing to frame of legs. Welding closed (8) 1/4” holes in steel newspaper closure. All work is 100% A+ to my satisfaction."

Animal Fencing questions, answered by experts

Ideally, when you replace a fence post, you should also replace the concrete footing. The concrete bonds to your new post, creating a secure base. If you install a new post into old concrete, it won’t be as sturdy.

That said, it is possible. Sometimes the post will lift right out of the concrete. If not, you can use a high-lift car jack to try and lift the pole out of the footing. Put the new post into the same hole and backfill it with fast-setting concrete. Keep in mind, this won’t work well for metal posts.

There are many pros and cons to vinyl and composite fencing. Both fencing types offer longer lifespans than wood fencing, with some notable advantages. Whether one is better for you will depend on a few factors. Composite is better if you prefer recycled materials, while vinyl is extremely easy to clean.

Also, consider the disadvantages: vinyl can be more expensive, while composite fencing fades during the first six months.

Fences made out of redwood, cedar, or pressure-treated pine are the most durable. These materials can last anywhere between 15 to 40 years so long as they are properly maintained. Make sure to clean your fence regularly and pressure wash once a year. After pressure washing, apply a sealant and/or fresh paint to keep it looking fresh.

In many cities, you will need a permit to install a fence, especially for a fence taller than 6 feet. Check with your local government office to determine whether you’ll need a permit before installing a fence, along with any height or location restrictions. Or, better yet, hire a fencing installation pro, who can help you secure the appropriate permits.

DIY is possible for small fences. Professional installation ensures proper alignment and stability for larger projects.
