I chose Laramie Valley Roofing because they were local. After a large hailstorm a number of companies descended on Laramie to replace roofs. I chose Laramie Valley because they were one of the few local ones doing the work and saying they could. I specified that additional water barrier had to be installed in north-facing valleys and also requested 50 year shingles. This was agreed to in the bid estimate. They then did the roof a few weeks later.
The following winter we had major leaks - from the valleys and ice dams - the reason for the requested additional water barrier. I called to complain and inspection in the attic suggested the additional water barrier was not installed. First Laramie Valley claimed they had no such request for additional water barrier and then claimed to have installed it anyway when I produced the bid. They refused to remove the roof and repair it unless I paid extra. My insurance company allowed me to go to a new company as I did not want to contract with a company that had done a poor job to begin with. The insurance company also indicated they had trouble with this company from other jobs. When the roof was removed it showed no additional water barrier was installed and the roof did not have 50 year shingles. I paid for the new roof deductible and was very happy with the new contractor who replaced the shingles and added the water barrier.
It is too bad such an unscrupulous company operates this way, taking advantage of people who try to do local companies a favor and also giving the industry a bad name. My advice would be to avoid this company. They clearly demonstrated that they are not to be trusted.

We needed a new roof on our house and had some insurance money to help with the cost. Arcenio Lemus came to the house and was very nice and pleasant, promptly bought materials and said he could do everything we asked for within our budget including installation of flashing and drip edging on the house, garage and shed. Once the work was done everything looked good but as time progressed we observed some leaks in the roof due to the failure to install step flashing between the garage and the wood shed. Later we also observed a leak in the roof at the house because they did not install flashing on the second floor dormer. Some of the shingles have lost all the rock and I am concerned that he did not install the 50 year Malarkey Legacy shingles that we contracted for. We called him to correct the shed and the flashing issues there but never saw him. We were later informed by others that this is typical and that it would not be worth the effort to continue contacting Arcenio Lemus to fix the problem and the cost to pursue a claim would be more than what it would cost to fix this ourselves. Do not use this contractor.

We are now in litigation with Laramie valley Contractors. We recommend to ALWAYS do research on contractors and to never give money until the Job is COMPLETE and DON'T hire or trust hire Laramie Valley Contractors.

In our one year lease with Laramie Valley contracting our experience was awful. In that year the apartment flooded five separate times, due to improperly installed appliances, plumbing and through a leak in the roof. In the winter, the pipes repeatedly froze leaving us without water They were working on the house next door and left a 10 foot high pile in the drive way. Our dishwasher was not installed correctly as they did not fasten it into the wall or fasten the counter top over it. The bedroom door fell off its hinges in our hands. Despite all this, at our move out they overcharged us on our damage deposit, trying to keep it all. We took them to court and won. To add a final insult, although we have a court decision in our favor they still have not payed. We have had to sell our court decision to a collection agency to get the money they owe us. The owner of this company is unresponsive, rude and clearly has no problem in ignoring the law in regards to paying his debts. I can not speak to their work as contractors but given our experience I could not possibly recommend them to any one.

We called 3 roofing companies and Laramie Valley came right over saw our problem and purchased a tarp and covered our porch roof. This was before he knew if we were going to have him replace our roof. The work was done in 5 days and they cleaned up the site. We were very pleased and Arsenio was ready to answer any questions we had. We appreciated his on hands, positive customer service. Another company called me and asked why we didn't choose them and I explained we received a quote in the mail and didn't have any personal contact with their company as we did with Laramie Valley Contracting.
