I had been gifted a drafting table that had a water damaged top, making it barely usable. I had done some sanding, but realized I could not get the table top perfectly flat with the tools I had. I called the cabinet shop two minutes before closing, the proprietor was willing to listen to my explanation and let me know he felt capable of doing the job.
When I brought the table top in, the proprietor evaluated that he would be able to do the work and gave me a finish date a few days hence. He offered to also fill some fine gaps with putty, and was willing to give an estimate of the cost when asked. When I called on the due date, the top was done, and done properly. He was courteous and professional, and helped me load the top into the car.

They only work in town. They did a great job; it looks beautiful.
