Unfortunately there were two separate problems that were created through the owner of Mountain Electrical's terrible lack of communication with me. First off he sent two electricians to do a job that should only have taken one person to do. They installed the plug backward but that is something that could have been fixed relatively easily. I sent an e-mail to the owner and let him know about the problems. He called me on a Saturday morning and instead of trying to get to the bottom of the problem he proceeded to brow-beat me and speak in a condescending manner toward me. Had he told me "hey I can come over and check it out and see what the problem is" I would have told him thank you so much and I'm sure everything could have been worked out in a professional manner.
I think part of the problem in Jackson Hole, Wyoming is that there are so many millionaires and billionaires who live here who will pay almost anything for electricians to do work on their huge monstrous houses that these guys don't really seem to care that much about smaller jobs anymore. Electricians are often terribly spoiled by the economy here. It's sometimes better for middle class Jackson Hole residents to call electricians out of Idaho Falls. They are definitely is more economical even with the travel time.
The second problem was revealed almost a year later. I was told by the seller of the two ovens that they had installed, that the ovens have to have their own circuits. They told me that the electrician was given that information and should have known that when installing the new electrical line. What I saw was a complete breakdown in communication which has cost me a great deal of money and a lot of headaches because I cannot use both ovens at the same time as there have been computer problems in both ovens as a result. Also the appliance dealership had to send out a representative to fix problems with the steam oven on at least 4 occasions because of the fact that both ovens were using the same circuit. I should not have had to be the one who has to figure all of this out. The professionals are paid to be professional. The installation requirements should have been communicated between the electrician and the local appliance provider. I think most modern ovens have to have their own designated circuits. The owner of Mountain Electrical should have asked me the model, make and other information concerning the modern ovens I was having installed. He should have been proactive as opposed to being reactive.
I was very disappointed in Mountain Electrical with this situation as they have done work for us in the past and I was very impressed with their previous work.
