The day the job was scheduled she showed up an hour late, and then talked on her cell phone to her kid for 25 minutes. She came in and looked the job over, and then told us she forgot her tools and that she would return the following day, costing me an additional day off of work. The job included removal and reinstallation of the toilet, which she did not want to do (but ended up doing). The flooring job, and replacement of a bit of subfloor, looks fine. However, she never cleaned out the heating vent, leaving it full of scraps. The caulking around the edges was horrible, looked like a child did it - same with the toilet. Today (10-21-13) we replaced the toilet in that bathroom. We found that when she reinstalled the toilet, she never secured it to the floor. The only thing holding toilet in place was the shoddy caulking job - amazing it stayed in place for the last year. Oh, and the job cost several hundred more dollars than we were quoted. . . . plus an extra day off of work.
