Property Management
What ended up happening was that I was always getting a song and dance about the propane bill. They said they were supposed to put my name on the propane and charge the tenant for the extra fee. They said the propane bill was the reason I wasn't receiving my portion of the rent. I don't buy this excuse. After switching to a different property management company, they explained to the tenant that they needed to put their name on the propane bill, this made the tenant happy. That makes me think that the tenant was given a song and dance as well. Two tenants prior to this experience, the tenant flushed something they shouldn't have, which burned up the sludge pump. The tenant appeared to stopped paying rent, and I stopped receiving my portion of the rent at that time.
