After finding a large discrepancy ourselves on our return, the new associate did not understand a simple non deductible IRA conversion on our form provided by our financial advisor & almost cost us a few thousand dollars. Our financial planner went out of her way to straighten the issue out with the owner, who in turn told her to respect his time. After this we decided to take our business elsewhere. When the owner was told this, he went out of his way, without our permission to email our financial advisor to ask her assistance to make us pay his bill! Very disappointing to say the least. I hear the firm is great with large corporate returns, but if you don't own your own business, they don't have time for you & will not assign a competent employee to complete your return. You can get better knowledge & service for a personal return from H & R Block. We will be taking our business to a professional CPA who will be able to provide us not only with semi annual check in's (which we were never even offered by this firm!) but also competent enough to give us advice & take the time to care about our financial well being.
